I share your sentiment hockey, Pelfrey is the weakest starter we have.. still he manages to pitch well enough to stay in the rotation... he does have a good tempo. NIce to see Suzuki keep us alive with a hit.. c'mon Dozier.

Right. If Romine would have pinch run, both Nicky C and Krauss would have been gone late in the game.

Avila did well last weekend at first. I was surprised when they picked up Krauss. (TrAding for a vet first baseman wouldn't have surprised me.)Figured they'd just bring Holiday back (whenever he's eligible. Not sure when he was sent back down off hand.). I guess Ausmus didn't want to change catchers mid game? And didn't want McCann at first? If you can catch, first shouldn't be that tough.

It was a weird non move, but I won't complain when Nick comes out late.

Detroit dodged King Felix on a schedule break to win a road series. They could have just as easily lost two of three, but they'll take it I'm sure. They're starting to score runs, getting contributions throughout the lineup. The question remains can they keep the opposition from scoring a bunch of runs? Think about it... They've got only ten games within the division between now and September, including this four game set with The Twins and six games against KC in August. They're going to be playing the bulk of their games against AL East and West opponents until September, when they have twenty three games within the division to decide it. The AL 'magic number' for lack of a better term to get into the playoffs has lately been around 88 wins, so at a minimum, they need to be 45-33 the rest of the way to have a shot. We'll see whether or not they can pull it together. It's gonna be interesting, isn't it?
