that sure is how he played once he was moved their last year- in fact- i dont think there was a better RF- let alone top 3 once he moved there.

The Tigers have a damn good one in RF in J.D. Martinez. Vastly improved with the glove. His RF rankings in the AL: 15 outfield assists (2nd), .993 fielding pct. (1st) and 7.7 UZR (2nd). And he hits sh'loads better than Chisenhall.

well its OBVIOUSLY since he moved there..im not claiming he was the best defensive RF in the game when he was playing 3rd base, lol.
so less than 400 innings and he is in your top 3 defensive RFers.. I am sorry but that is some homer shit there.

defensively YES- for the time that he played the position he easily a top 3 defender at the position. Im not making any more or less claims than that.
We'll see- can't blame people for raising some eyebrows; it's a hell of a bold claim. I know his UZR/150 in his short sample in right is completely outrageous at over 35, but let's wait for a bit, no?

again..reading comprehension...for the time that Chissenhall was playing right field- he was easily a top 3 defensive player at his position.

oh no doubt- im not claiming he is going t ocome out and light the world on fire again like last year- but i dont know how you can debate that while he played RF last year he wasnt just dominant the way he played the position.

While a UZR/150 over 35 is obviously very impressive and would probably get a guy in platinum glove consideration over a full season...

I don't think many people see Willie Mays exactly in Chisenhall. Sample size matters.

is there a way to actually see the record or did you do it manually?

You can sort the games by the headers. So I sorted it by innings. Just a quick look told me there were a shitload more wins than losses, so I counted the losses and did the math.

I am sure if he starts out hot he'll get Alex Gordon comps.:)
He should!

The games I saw, he manned right as well as Gordon or Brantley man left.

Not sure what the secret is with sending a young third baseman down and bringing them back up a different player. But I'd love to know.

Not entirely different from "Verlander's back after two good months."
completely different... verlander has a little bit more of a background... than "chiz" in RF

they're both, in my opinion, homer comments.
You know what... you are probably right...

I like homers though.. wish we had a white sox and twins homer around too...

this thread would be awesome if it was more balanced between the 5 AL central teams... its all indians/tigers/royals..... the twins fans rarely pop in and there is never a white sox guy around.
