One way or the other ... we can't let the Cubs win.
Why?
Because I don't like the Cubs and would rather see the Indians win. Are you gonna start trolling me?

So..what are you saying??? Tigers won't make play offs? Spit it out iffyProblem that 'almost' went away, until Castellanos went down, is the bottom 3 in the batting order. ESPECIALLY if Maybin is going to miss 3-4 games every couple of weeks. McGehee, McCann, and Iglesias is not much of a threat. Adding Collins, Aviles, or Romine (if Maybin is out again/still) does not add anything.

Hard to do after that ERA has went up 2 without Gomes, the bum.BP has the Indians with the best odds to make the playoffs in the AL (77.3% chance to win the division), and the second best odds in baseball to win the World Series (15.1%).

If Bauer can just be decent(which he should) Id find it hard for you guys not to make the playoffs.Their pitching has been pretty sketchy lately, but Kluber and Carrasco had a couple of nice outings. Hopefully the rest of the guys can build on that.
I think a championship is a long shot, but frankly, given the crapshootidity of the postseason, I'd say it's a long shot for any team from mid-August.
I'd say they're still looking pretty good for a playoff berth, even a division title, but we'll see.

And Id still pick Cleveland to win the division.
Just was surprised when I heard how much things had turned since Gomes went down.

You're still second in the AL in run differential. Things could be worse.A lot of that had to be everyone shitting the pitching rubber against the Twins and Yanks last Monday-Friday. Forty-five innings with a 10.00 team ERA. That's gonna leave a mark.

Prolly.some of that could be coincidental.
The 2016 team ERA splits when Gomes catches and Gimenez catches are only 0.26 different; 3.62 to 3.88.
Perez who has caught a team ERA of 4.89, but with only 130 innings caught, there's probably some static in there.
Twins are gooooooooooooooooooooood
Indians lack heart
