cody allen is that much better than drew storen?
well if im not mistaken Stroen has lost his job each of the last 2 years and then was traded...while Allen was pretty lights out last year--- ESPECIALLY after the first 2 weeks of the season he was absolutely ridiculous

so yah. Ill take the guy who didnt lose his job and got traded and was INSANELY GOOD for all but the first 2-3 weeks of last season.

I would hardly call a guy with 4 blown saves and an era of 2.99 with a walk rate of 3.2 / 9 lights out.

Maybe its just my memory of cody allen serving meatballs up to the tigers for walk off tigers wins that shifts my opinion. His career era vs the Tigers is fucking gross.

Allen had a really rough couple weeks to open it up.....those 2 blown saves in April killed his ERA.....i think he was a little nervous being the closer coming out of the chute and really grew into the role. After that he was pretty damn amazing.

last year was Allen's first full year as the closer and he thrived....

Storen has been a closer off and on for years and has proven little more than he has really never been able to nail the job down for any length of time.

what? you think Allen is probably like the 3rd or 4th best closer in the AL?

Davis is def the best right now.- indeed if he is closing - is he?

Miller and Bettances kinda share in NY-- both are really really good.

Britton has been pretty darn good in Balt.

maybe you could make an argument for another guy or two--- but that seems pretty reasonable i think.
