A Hypothetical Question for Hockey Fans

I would still follow the NHL and hockey but I dont think i would be able to completely buy in and become a diehard fan of another team.

It would suck if the Preds ever did move. I don't think I could follow a team called the Hamilton Predators or whatever. I would still keep up with scores and standings, but I just wouldn't have a team.

I couldn't have rooted for the Pens if they had moved to Kansas City...the whole thing just made me sick...I probably would have just rooted for the Sabres...not die hard...just at least 1 team to keep track of....I would get CenterIce and pay more attention to other than I usually do...

To be honest I would follow my team regardless of their location.been a fan way to long to quit on them.

The idea of following a team after they leave and not being part of the city/vibe that they have (like going to live games, watching some of the youth programs, ect) seems like stalking your ex while she's on a date with another guy.

I don't think I could watch from the outside in.

If I had to pick a team out East maybe it would be the Flyers. They play a tough style, I would have a legitimate reason to dislike the Pens, and my rep level would go through the roof.
