I have to get used to seeing pitchers get pulled at the first sign of trouble. He only had 80 pitches under his belt but had a rough 5th and I know that the strategy now is to start relievers clean. Has the role of fireman been eliminated from baseball?

You beat me to that post! I was just about to say the same thing. The bullpen absolutely dominated - 4 innings and only one baserunner! And that was in the 9th and got erased in a double play.
