I don't really care how they played at the end of the regular season in 2014/2015. Both years I just wanted to see how Bogaerts and Betts would progress.ok, "like always" was poor wording on my part... I agree with that.. Just mean regular season
Last year is the only year that we can point to where they actually had something to play for in the final few games as homefield was still up for grabs between the Indians/Rangers/Red Sox.
This year though, if the Yankees lose this afternoon, they are locked into the 3-seed. There's nothing to play for. There's an argument that you want to get the bats going, but I think the more pressing issue is health. 5 or 6 days of rest might be more beneficial.
