He's had a good showing in left as well. He hasn't had to do anything great out there but he does look like he can handle it.

If he can be Morse, he gets the job. His D appears superior to Morse, and I think his power is equitable to Morse. Morse has a better average, though. Overall, I think I prefer Ishi to Morse.

I certainly prefer Ishi over Perez. Hopefully, we can at least get Morse some pinch-hitting opportunities. He's been off so long, I wonder if even he comes back he'll be effective enough.

At this time, I would guess Ishi would start the wildcard game.

Assuming Morse comes back as good as he was in the second half...

Do we want him? I would still prefer Ishi (and I am not a huge fan if Ishi).

True. I may be naive, but I'd still like him at least on the team in the pinch hitting role.

Giants' starters through 5 innings. Stellar.

Lately, sixth inning on, yuck.

Those two days off between the season and the wild card game are gonna be huge for the pen to get some rest.

Not sure it really matters when we only have 2 reliable SPs going into the payoffs.

I like our chances in he play-in, but after that, I am not so sure...

Am I being naive thinking he was reading our discussion? He has done that more than once...

Are one of you guys Hank???

I do agree though that either Alex or Hank read our boards. Hank has been putting up convincing evidence lately. In previous years, before he took over for Baggs at the Merc, I had a strong suspicion that Alex not only followed, but posted. Once he took over, I think he just lurked. Maybe not so much recently.

If I was a writer, I would lurk the message boards. Sometimes we collectively come up with nice stories to write about. Takes some time.

A few months ago, I posted some numbers about the Giants' winning percentage scoring first, etc., and a few days later, read something eerily similar in either AP or Baggs. Hmmmmmm.

There is good stuff on the boards, if one wades through all the personal attacks and the kvetching. Who, me?!?

The Dodgers are pretty much in the same boat.

It's better than reading through their twitter mentions where it's 90% incoherent bashing, 10% decent baseball talk. Here it's more like 50-50 :suds:

Yup. But they have an offense. But they also have no defense what-so-ever.

I think it may be the Expos year. Redemption for 1994 for both the Expos AND Matty...
