Hunter's interview. With the noise after the beer, the only thing missing was the sparks.

For all those terrible games we had to suffer through against the Pads from 2007-10' (mainly off the bat of Scott Hariston, to Matt Cain's chagrin), the Giants have champagne showered at AT&T Park following a victory against the Padres in 2010, 2012 and now 2014.

What a nice comeback win, loved the F bombs from Pence too. Does anyone know if we own the tie breaker with Saint Louis?

It is looking more and more likely that St Louis and Pit will need to play a 163. How awesome would that be? If they do, than the Giants would host the WC game, assuming all 3 teams were tied after 162. 163 is considered a regular season game, so the Giants would have a better WL percentage than the loser of that game.

My understanding is it's head to head as far as tie breakers go. if we are tied with Pittsburgh we go there. If we are tied with St Louis they come here.

But if pit has to play a 163 and loses, than the Giants would have a better regular season record (again, assuming StL, Pit and SF all have the same record after 162).

Lets assume that all 3 teams finish with a 92-70 record. Pit and StL play a 163 to decide the central division. The winner ends the reg season at 93-70 and the loser finishes at 92-71. 92-70 is a better record than 92-71, so the Giants host.
