The first two picks of the 2019 draft have been settled today. Congratulations to the Baltimore Orioles and Kansas City Royals on an amazing(ly horrendous) season. Still a big battle for the 3 through 7 picks and another battle for the 9 through 13 picks. The Giants moved up one slot by tying the Mets' record and are just a game out of the 9th pick. It would be quite a feat to get to the 7th/8th spot.

I'd say they are tanking, but really they are playing as well as they can. That is barely a AAA lineup.

But there would be a purpose and we would see “tomorrow” develop before our eyes. I didn’t mind 2008 because I knew we had kids coming up who could make a difference. AND Timmeh made it bearable. Maybe DRod or Bart will make this rebuild bearable while we wait for the next Posey/Bum/Alderson/Villalona too come along.
