Knee to knee.

I hope they are both OK, AND I hope they are both hobbled enough to slow them down.

I think something that could play in our favor is the way Ryu looked on Friday night. If the Dudgers have to roll out Hernandez, Haren and Correia multiple times in the next 10 days, and we take care of business on our roadie.....you never know.

Starters/vets are pitiful in this one.

Kids/fringe players are nutting up.

Susac 2 hits
Duffy RBI PH single
Petit 7 good innings (one mistake)
Arias with 2 hits
Panik with a hit

That is a good point, but his next start would be against the Rox, and those are all coin flip games anyway.

Weez up in the blue bully.

He tends to do well against us, though...

Big game. Would have been ridiculous for Kershaw to have been taken out.

Donny baseball shaking his head as he left the mound.

Is that throwing 'shaw under the bus? If he ended up giving up a hit and/or a run, it would have been obviouse to everyone that Mattingly wanted to yank him, and he left 'shaw in there against his judgement.

Cowardly act, if you ask me. You are the manager. Be confidant in your choices.

Not ready for closing duty yet, but I feel more comfortable with him in there than I do with Timmeh.

How high are the Giants on Strickland?

98 mph fastball. Easy motion. Nice movement. A lot to like.

(a little hang on some of the breaking pitches)

I think they see him contending for the 9th inning next year.

He obviously still needs a little polish, but it don't think he is that far off.

He has been hitting 100 pretty consistently in his appearances for the big club so far.

Well, the bats got 2 off of 'shaw. That was really more than could have been expected.

Bad defense and one REALLY bad pitch took the Giants out of it, unfortunately.

Off to Arizona, where I hope the snakes are still working on the golf reservations and not realizing thy have games to play.

No milk today, but I'm still hopeful. 6 games with the rox for the dogs, and we all know how unpredictable those series can be.

Fight #3 goes to the Dodgers 4-2...Giants 3 back

Giants put up a good fight but the Dodgers win by a 9 round decision 4-2. Kershaw was up to the challenge as he took his lead and never relinquished it. The dude is tough and he showed why he is the favorite to win another Cy Young Award (Bum still might have something to say about that). Hey I don't like tipping my cap to the Dodgers but they bounced back after Friday to win the Black N' Blue Brawl.

Is the season over...hell no ! Giants have two weeks to go and 13 games left. A wild card looks safe but the goal is still the West. Got three more fights with the Dodgers left on the road and both teams have lengthy road trips left. Giants have 10 on the road and the Dodgers got 7 games left on their road trip. It might end up who plays the best on the road will come out the winner. But the cherry on top still is those three games in LA LA Land.

Susac showed a good swing against Kershaw today getting two hits. He could be a key factor in a game against Kershaw in L.A. The top 5 hitters in the Giants line up are all hitting .282 and above. It may not be the happiest of flights for the Giants but I have no doubts that they are staying focused on the task at hand and a Western division crown is still there for the taking.

As Krukow likes to say..."Strap it on and go get em". Game on.

Go Giants !!
