I'm so happy I'm at work because I don't want to see what the Indians will do the Mr. Garcia this afternoon.

I trust Montgomery more. He's been solid all year at the stadium.

3.75 ERA in 11 home starts. I'm totally fine with that considering he is the 5th starter

Loving those, time to make a serious dent
Sabathia has been excellent against the Red Sox, not a lot of Ks and quite a few walks, but that's kind of his thing now. Rodriguez did well in Yankee Stadium his only time there this year and has a 1.38 ERA in 4 career starts there.

Gray wasn't very effective last time out against Boston. 5 IP, 2 ER look okay but 0 strikeouts for the first time in his career. Fister on the mound, and he's had 2 straight great outings, but it's Fister so I have no confidence. Last made a start at Yankee Stadium in 2011.

Tanaka on a really good stretch right now, mixed bag of results in his starts this year against Boston. Had one of his best games against them earlier in the year. Red Sox caught him again right when he was going into his slide back in June. This will be Pomeranz 5th start against the Yankees, had to leave the last one early with the back spasms. Nothing too great, nothing too horrible. Pretty typical of Drew, Sox are 4-0 in those games.

Severino got smoked last time out against the Sox and that's really the only blip in this great stretch. He has a 1.52 ERA since July 8th outside of that game. They got to Sale last time, but overall he's been damn good against them, although they've scored 7 runs for him in the 4 starts he's made.

Yeah I'm hoping for a split, same as I hoped for in the 4-game set in Cleveland. We do that, we have a good chance to be 3.5 up going into the final 25-27 games of the year. Then the Yankees go on the road for 9 games, Red Sox go home for 9 games. Sox gain a couple more games in that stretch, go into the final 2 weeks up 5.5/6 games.

I'm very pleased to learn that it's not fatigue, but that the Indians own the fuck out of him!
Are the Indians going to retire 4.78 for Sale's career ERA against them like they retired 455?

Yeah today's results aside, I think a split the weekend all but wraps up the East for the Sox

Yankees take 3 of 4, game on

I believe the Yankees have 21 home games left, and 12 road games

Astros will likely have to play the Mets series in Florida as well, so that would be 19 straight games away from home for Houston while Cleveland and Boston are just 4.5 games back.

Oh, great. A built-in excuse for those shitbags when they cough up the league lead.

They were below .500 in the second half prior to Harvey.

Yeah they have a 9 game road trip and then play just 3 more games on the road the rest of the year.

We got Merritt going for the Indians, you'll likely get the bullpen battle you were hoping for - you don't want to see that?
