EA has earned the ABs, nice to see him in there. Panik has been pretty much worthless this year, though, so MAYBE EA can grab the job by next year.


Not saying that is what this start means. I am just opening the door to the fact that Panik kinda sucks now...

It's always Belt though, and he's had the best season of any of the batters this season. Why not drop Posey, Pence, Craw who have all been struggling? Why not bat Belt 2nd (where I think he's best anyway), Pagan 1st, Nunez 3rd? There are other ways to change it up, it just always seems it's Belt getting the demotion, like Boch is out to get him.

Agreed, I wanted Belt out of the 3rd spot but 7th is silly (unless the pitcher is a lefty). 2nd isn't bad but he strikes out too much. Need a contact hitter there.

The only hitters in this lineup with a lower slugging percentage than our clean up hitter are the pitcher and the guy just called up from the minor leagues (his AAA slugging is only .004 lower than Herk's).

The one guy who came back from the dl even better than before his injury. And he looked pretty good before going down. Granted, both before and after are sss, but he's hit when he's gotten the chance. I love Joe Panik, so watching him struggle is painful, but I think EA needs time.
