I think it is an uphill climb for both. If Posey is able to find himself again and tack on 3 or 4 near-all-star seasons, I think he will squeak in. Bum may get in, but only through the Morris entrance. Not the main doors.
To be fair, though, he didn’t want to leave for Texas. The Giants were just tired of his loud personality and wanted to move on, so forced him out the door. Bad move by the org, but it was what it was.
As for his going to St Louis, I actually liked the move. He was a great fit there filling in for Mac and actually did quite well for them, iirc...
