And there is the game. Division has drifted away. Kings 4 games to 2 in the 1st round and another season gone with nothing to show in the Thornton Marleau era.

Fucking typical, mentally-soft garbage, not being able to SHOW UP for 60 minutes.

I'm normally not big fan on doing this but i think its time for the coaching staff to let Stalock have a go at being the starter, Niemi has had 1 great game and maybe 3 solid ones since the break, tonight he cost the team 2 points hands down.

If the coaching staff is even remotely thinking about taking the division its time to make Nemo ride the pine, he is costing the team to many points.

Goddamn fucking lousy home loss to a garbage non-playoff team. Same old ending on tap for another waste-of-talent Sharks team.

Yup, look at the last week or so: Florida, Washington, Calgary, and Winnipeg. That is one hell of a resume of futility.

Quick will be on his game against them, no doubt.

The Wheeler goal was pure garbage by Niemi. Unacceptable. I agree Stalock starts Saturday.

They will lose in Colorado, even if they start a fucking 1,000-lb. sumo wrestler who blocks the entire goddamn net. Their specialty is finding wicked, painful ways to lose to teams that they should beat.

The team scored 3 great goals, that should be enough to win, there was seriously only one good goal that winter pig scored and that was the Buff goal. This time of year you cant have your goalies especially your goalie costing you games.

All of nemos problems are mental ones, so i dont know if he is tired or what, but stalock has been a real pro on how he has handle starts and has done nothing but put praise on Nemo and essentially covered for him with the company line of "it was a planned break"

This team has zero chance of taking the division with Nemo in net, and a worse chance of beating the kings at this rate in the first round

Speaking of coaching staff, what's Teh Tadd's spin on this latest debacle? The guy comes up with the lamest rhetoric. Must be the Canadien in him...

Agree that Niemi had a bad game yesterday and has been inconsistent this season, but the guys in front of him have to get the job done, too. WPG had too many easy entries into the Sharks zone and more scoring chances than they should have had. After the Sharks 1st goal, WPG was allowed to walk right in and score 36 seconds later. (Yes, Niemi did give up a bad rebound.) On WPG's 2nd goal, Wheeler should not have even had the chance to get the shot off around Vlasic from that angle.

"We've let some teams that are not as good in the standings beat us and take points away, for whatever reason I'm not sure," captain Joe Thornton said.

"There's a little bit of energy in the building, and bang it's gone," Sharks coach Todd McLellan said. "They come right back down and score and we have to start all over. That was probably a bit of a turning point, may have been an indication of things to come."

Are you kidding me? Vlasic played that perfect he angled wheeler to the corner and took the middle and passing lanes and finished his check, that was a horrible angle shot to give up a goal from the bluelines/boards, thats beer league level shit right there.

Nemo has cost the sharks atleast 6 points over the last 8-10 games, the sharks have a better chance at the division with Stalock in net period. It will also light a fire under Nemos ass which is apparently what he needs right now.

I heard they were going to do a sequel to 'Finding Nemo'. Didn't know he was actually going to audition for the part. :gaah:

Honestly didnt bother watching or reading aboot it lol I could never be a coach id be throwing Nemo under the bus on that one, could the team have played a little better? Yes, but when your goalie is continually giving up back breakers the other 20 guys can only do so much.

I just thought that Vlasic could have prevented the puck from even getting to the net, which in no way excuses Niemi from giving up that bad goal. It's a give and take. When the goalie is struggling, the guys in front have to step up. When the team is not skating, the goalie has to step up. They should have lost to the Rangers at MSG, but Niemi was great and bailed them out in that 1-0 win. Agree that he's better when he does not play in so many consecutive games, so Stalock should get a few more starts. If McClellan decides not to do that, then the only other option will be for the other players to limit the shots on goal. You're right, Niemi should sit for a few games.
