No doubt, would love either one of those.
My chances of getting the 2013 are far greater than the '70 by a long stretch. lol

I do, for some reason, love the color of the '70 though. ;-)

I have been so tempted to get back out in the garage and start working on my '66. The only issue is that it isn't something I can do for an hour here and an hour there. The next step is a full wire kit. Have it sitting in the passenger floor, but don't have the long uninterrupted hours that I did pre-kid. I have the parts, just need to make the time or it will never run. :)

I too am a fan of the gold. Haven't gotten to the stage of picking colors. Really want to do a dark metallic gray and black interior. In texas with no A/C though...

Are you talking about the full wire harness? You can do an hour or two at a crack, as long as you have schematics you can stop and start whenever.
Get to it fordman, let's see her hit the road soon.

Yeah, it is a 100% full kit, from the bay to the taillights. I have to start in the dash though, and that's daunting. I know I have a few hours there.

If you have everything out(seats, carpet, instrument bezels etc,etc..)it should go quick. Just give yourself a goal of 10 hours a week, then you should have the wiring done in a week and a half..

It's stripped all the way down. I have the instruments and everything out, no steering wheel/brake hanger/clutch hanger. I took this all the way down to bare metal to fix all the rust. Now it the body is back assembled, but no upholstery or anything.

I might just have to get out and get working on it. Money is spent, so that's not my excuse anymore. Got the engine and tranny rebuilt and installed, but now sitting on it. I'm not happy with the front end rebuild, the springs sit too high (new V8 springs). Thought it would level out when I put the engine in, but still sitting too high.

Plus right now I'm stripping and restoring an old Arco minibike. Just about to start wire wheeling it, wanted to do it this weekend but had other stuff come up. Got it all running and did some laps around the nieghborhood, boy is this thing fun. Now gotta paint it and fix some high-speed front end issues :)

Check into the Shelby Drop. That'll bring your front end down, and it looks relatively easy.

And you can have the rear springs re-arched.

Yeah, I'm gonna replace the rear springs anyways. But this looks higher than stock even. The old springs were worn out, so I had to replace them. Guess I could have gone with some 6cyl springs. It was a PITA to get those V8's in there too. Man, took me hours and hours to wrestle them in. ANd I hate compressing springs. THat is why I like ford trucks. Could just jack em up and drop the front arms. No compressor needed. Those things just creep me out.

I hear ya, always a pain.
But seriously, check out the Shelby drop.
All Shelby Mustangs had it done. And it sets the front down.
The Mustangs from the '641/2 to '66 had the front end too high from the factory. IMO
