7 weeks of an investigation into Manning, and not one leak?? LOL...so let's compare

Manning:
-HGH shipped to house for wife after neck surgery. Broke all the records a yr after he could not throw a football.
-Manning sends goons to lab to threaten workers.
-No leaks
-No Ted Wells
-NFL accepts lab data
-No credible evidence.
-Ball washers unite.

Brady:
-Ball boy goes into the bathroom for 90 seconds
-TONS of leaks (PSI, cell phone)
-Ted Wells investigation
-NFL rejects science of PSI
-No credible evidence.
-Suspended 4 games.

But seriously, anyone think anything was going to happen? If HGH was sent to Giselle after a yr where TB could not even throw a football, then went out and broke all these records. NFL would have tossed him for a yr and took away 5 first rd picks...God dam is the NFL corrupt...

I can only guess they didn't have a Wells-type investigator ask for his personal phone ...

Pretty sure we have no clue what was actually shipped to the Manning household. That would mean the release of confidential medical information so unless the Manning's released something that I have not read so far then all we know is that a clinic that has used HGH in the past shipped something to the Manning's.

Also the medical staff for the Colts were a part of Manning going to this place. They were there for parts of it if I remember right to make sure everything was on the up and up.

LOL....OK, but pretty damn sure TB told the ball boy to deflate footballs by almost 2 PSI in the bathroom before the game....

I'm just saying some of your "facts" are not exactly facts. Manning also fully cooperated from day 1 in this investigation with the league. They also did not find him guilty causing this to turn into some crazy court case issue that lasts for months. I'm sure if Brady was found not guilty from the beginning Deflategate is over in 7 weeks or maybe just a bit longer.

Nothing to see here, move along. The golden family of football fully cooperated.
The investigation went something like this:
NFL Janitor: PM did you use HGH?
PM: NO and I really mean it.
NFL Janitor: MRS. PM did you ever use HGH?
MRS. PM: It's a medical question I don't feel comfortable answering.
NFL Janitor: OK that seems to answer all my questions, thanks for cooperating. That made it real easy.
NFL Janitor: Mr. Goodell they didn't do anything.

When was TB found guilty? Guilty of more than likely knowing something unproven happened?

Sorry we will go with the legal terms here. Obviously the Ted Wells report hinted at the idea that Brady maybe knew something was going on that wasn't quite legal. I'm not saying he was guilty I'm just saying the league showed they thought something was going on beyond the scope of the rules.

Thank you :suds: glad to see not everyone on here subscribes to the ESPN hysteria. Then again this board would be awfully quiet consider 90% of the hooplas get ALL their sporting news from the big four letter word.

You're so full of shit ... I can't believe you could type that ...

Did they take Mannings phone? After they accused him of taking HGH did they even look to see if he texted anyone regarding the "case?"

And you're gonna say he contacted nobody regarding the alleged allegations?

How many hours of initial interrogation did Brady endure and how many hours did manning? Now tell me who "cooperated" more with the accusers?

They said the Manning "investigation" lasted 7 months ... yet as of June 15 they never "interviewed" Manning ...

Last week I asked the question to on the NFL forum "what was Brady guilty of?" Several asswipes answered with different "infractions." No two answered the same.

Instead SportsHoopla world screamed patriot fans are delusional ... but delusion is believing in something that isn't there ...

This whole thing was a scandal ... an NFL scandal ... and like the rest of NFL nation, you're full of shit

Haters: See Manning handed over all documents and Brady smashed his phone.
Pats Fans: Brady was suspended before the phone, and it wasn't smashed. Manning sent goons to destroy evidence.
Haters: Spygate, tuck rule, headsets.....

Ok? First off I have been one for a very long time that has thought the punishment whether he deflated the footballs or not was ridiculous. I thought this whole deflategate thing has been ridiculous and yes I honestly do think Goodell was pushed by other owners to go above and beyond what he ever should have done.

I said that some of the "facts" at the beginning of this topic were not right on Manning as we have no clue what was delivered to their house. All we know is that packages from a company that creates and uses HGH sent something to the Manning house for Ashley Manning. We do know that she was struggling to get pregnant and the company does make things that help with that. That is my guess but again we have no clue what was delivered to their house so to put that as a fact that HGH was delivered to their house is just flat wrong. That is an assumption not a fact.

And all I have said with the Brady thing is that the LEAGUE has said that he was guilty. Not me personally. The League has said that Manning was innocent. The reason this has dragged on as long as it has is because of the feeling that Goodell over stepped his power and this went to the courts. Otherwise deflategate would have been done over a year ago. I understand why Brady fought this and I understand why the NFLPA is continuing to fight this. They won't win in my opinion as the CBA does give Goodell ridiculous power but this also does give the NFLPA in the next CBA agreement some fighting power.

This is a moot point. Brady will serve the four game suspension and Goodell will get away with a penalty that was way over the top.

In my opinion......again my opinion. The NFL never proved that Tom Brady knew anything. They never proved that he 'did' anything. Goodell suspended Brady for four game for not being "fully cooperative" with the Ted Wells investigation. Not once did the NFL ever produce anything to show that Brady had not cooperated.

As @CDumler stated, this was a small group of powerful owners (Jones, Richardson, Johnson, Allen) with the largest pocketbooks, wanting the Patriots punished. Some say because of the destruction of the tapes for Spygate. Why punish the Patriots? Goodell destroyed the tapes. The Patriots didn't destroy the tapes. Some say it was Kraft being punished for his influence over Goodell, because Kraft actually got him the job, and they felt Kraft had undue influence over some of his decisions. Memories are short with these owners. Johnathan Kraft got the CBA passed and gave Goodell the power he used against the Patriots. The Krafts were the only reason that the players didn't go on strike.

If there is such a thing as Karma, hopefully it tear the nuts off these guys in public and show what an asinine thing Deflategate really was. Hopefully it harms their teams seriously for as many years as Brady was suspended games.

I guess what in that did I say that was wrong? He said that HGH was delivered to the Manning house and at least from my understanding we have no knowledge for sure of what was delivered. We just know something from a company that makes HGH was delivered to their house but they make plenty of other medicines as well and we do know during that time the Manning's were trying to get pregnant and this company does make lots of products that help with that.

I said that Manning cooperated from day 1. From everything I have read that is true. He felt like he didn't have anything to hide and even though he didn't have to come because he is a retired player he did anyway.

Also because he was found not guilty of anything obviously that kind of puts a stop to the whole process. Wouldn't you agree that Deflategate would have been done a long time ago if in their investigation they found nothing to actually think that Brady was guilty of knowing of the deflated footballs? I mean no reason for him to fight this in the courts if the league finds him not guilty and doesn't punish him.

I honestly didn't think I said anything crazy in my post. I have said that I think Brady had all the reason to fight this in the court system because the punishment was/is ridiculous even if he did knowingly tell a ball boy to deflate the footballs which I'm not sure he did. I felt like he did a decent job of cooperating with the league through the whole process but he was left with little choice but to challenge this whole thing in the courts and we know when both sides have a lot of money this thing can be dragged out for months possibly years unfortunately which kept this whole thing alive. I figured he would lose it in the courts and the CBA agreement makes it pretty difficult with how much power they did give Goodell and I expect that to be a huge point in the next CBA agreement if not earlier.

To me Manning's and Brady's situations were very different. So how they would play out was always going to be very different. I mean just Manning being retired alone made the situations apples and oranges. I don't think though people should condemn Manning just because his situation is over so quickly compared to that of Brady. Heck Manning has been one of Brady's biggest supporters through deflategate and probably will spend some time with him during his suspension because they are good friends.

"The Guyer Institute did ship medication to Manning, Fleischer confirmed. Citing right to privacy, Fleischer declined to specify whether the medication was human growth hormone, which is banned by professional sports leagues and only legal to prescribe in America for a few specific conditions, such as broken neck surgery and giant forehead syndrome"
