This year they are handling it just right, playing hard, promoting youngsters. They won't make any big trades, hope they get lucky. Let some vets walk. Sign someone like Samardjiza for next year, and play the kids. 2016 they might win the division.

Giants were approved by MLB to fly out Monday at 6 AM instead of flying all night tonight after the game. Gonna cost the Giants a extra 40 grand but it's worth it.

I am not sure Scrabble is a good fit for the Giants. They already have 4 SPs definitely returning (barring trade) with at least 2 high-ceiling kids ready to compete for a spot in ST. If the FA SP is not a stud, I say look at OF, utility infield and MAYBE 1B with the FA money.

Am I reading it correctly that the last week or so (on vacation cant see games) that there seems to be a bit different strike for (in favor) the other team and against the Giants "at times" in the most recent games.
