I totally understand the sentiment but I guess I sit on a different side of this argument.

imo, the 2010 strengths (pitching and especially bullpen) were at an elite level and are stronger than this current team.

The 2010 team had much more ground to make up than this current team. I think there's enough talent on the 2012 team to compete as is, they are just underperforming.

it's funny you mentioned bumgardner, I totally forgot how young he was when he arrived and contributed
