Gentlemen, I am not sold on extending Pence for 2014 and beyond. He has been nothing short of miserable in the last two months. When the team needed him to step up, he did not. For $15 million per year, certainly we can find someone else?

Love the guy's attitude and what he adds to the clubhouse, and he is evidently a terrific teammate. But I was also a terrific teammate. I just couldn't hit the curve. Nor the fastball. Nor the split. Nor the changeup. Nor anything else.

So far, Kamp has thrown 16 pitches, and 15 of them have been 87-88 mph fastballs.

Can he not throw breaking stuff? If not, it's going to be a long game.

I would be willing to have him back on a 1/14, so definitely offer a QO. Signing him for longer, I don't know. We need SOMEONE to play out there, and there isn't much in the FA market. Who would we trade for, and what would we give up?

I'm good with that, I guess. Working hard to get someone like Stanton would be optimal. We can always dream, right?

We can't hit homers at AT&T, and the Reds come in and bash it around like it is Coors. Even the scrub catcher has hit two in two games.
