It's been a long time since it could be said with sincerity, but "Happy Timmy Day" giants fans

Congratulations, Timmy!

If nothing else, interest in him from other teams should grow significantly.

Tell me they don't like eachother?

Awesome gif. Thanks for posting.

Timmy looks completely spent. Good thing he didn't have to face even one more batter.

6 more outs to go. So what if his pitch count is a tad bit high, he doesnt use his arm that much in his pitches. It is his arms and legs and the all star break is coming up so he can get more rest.

Yeah, it was lucky that the break was coming up. Would hate to see a Johan Santana kind of thing

Oh and hey, we have won 3 in a row

As The Wolf said, let's not start sucking each other's dicks just yet. These are the Padres.
That said, you gotta start somewhere, we've been saying the team has the talent they just had to break out of the teamwide slump. This is about all we could hope for. Is it too little too late?

I will say I'm done giving up, flip flopping back to hoping. Heathbar deserves props.

Bullpen? What?

Congrats Tim, what a game! Good to see Timmeh back!

Yeah I don't think he could make a more emphatic statement. That's about 6 relief appearances worth of pitches

AGain. we've been saying he should be able to be a #3 type starter and if he will accept that kind of contract we'd be happy to bring him back...should be interesting the next 2 months.

Crazy that the no no came during this season...and not during one of his dominating ones.

No hitters are like that, kind of crazy. How about Phil Humber having one last year, and he's so bad I don't think he even could crack the Astros rotation this year.

Some caution is warranted wrt Timmy, this doesn't guarantee he's 'back'

Too bad they have no chemistry....

I think if this ever was a thing, and it might have been for a small period, it's long over now with the repeat title and now this moment.

Wow...

What a contrast from when Wilson K'd Cruz. Posey jumped into Weez's arms. Here he picked up Timmeh.

Very telling, in a deep psychological way.

ALso, Wilson is about 2x bigger than Tim

I am guessing Zeets went home before the end of the game (he at least HAD a home in the SD area a few years ago)? I just watched the celebration, and he was nowhere to be seen. He and Timmeh are supposed to be best buds (hehehe, "buds").

Pretty huge game for Zito, in front of his hometown fans, after his father's passing. Kind of 'need' a win to really feel great about things heading into the break.

True, but if that last batter had walked or reached on an error by god he woulda kept going.

Was at my wife's high school reunion, but when it was starting to happen I took her to the hotel bar and we watched the last 2 innings. That was fun, also after was fun...

Galarraga's near-perfecto is the best example, IMHO.

As far as caution goes, just look at Matty. He has not been the same since his perfecto.

I agree 100%. This is nice series to get the stink off the team, but they need to do this for a longer period of time, against MLB competition, to be declared "back".

I think it is safe to say the malaise is gone, though.

Tell me they don't like eachother?

As soon as I heard about the no no, I watched all the MLB highlights of his performance
WOW, fantastic

and I saw this clip and even as a Rangers fan, had to watch that hug a couple times.
Did you notice when everyone was on the mound congratulating Timmy, he said "where's Buster?" and then went to hug him.
Good stuff, it's impossible not to root for Timmy
(except for the 2010 Series of course, :) )

Congrats again

I'm off, to hopefully watch the Rangers beat Verlander

33 years between the Count's no-no in '76 and Durty's in '09, now there have been 3 in 4 years...

I was unable to watch the game (or even listen to it, damnit - I miss maybe 2 or 3 games a year, and I have to miss THIS one?), but I was able watch all 27 outs. Panda has been getting props for his late play, but he made almost the exact play in the third inning (about). Panda has a rocket arm, and decent reflexes. If he can keep his throws accurate, he really is a ++ defender.

Agreed re Pablo. Also, do I detect that he seems to look a bit more nimble and fit than he did prior to his foot injury?

They are the same number of games back as they were 3 games ago and have 3 less games to catch up..but the outlook is 10x better

They also play more of the likes of the NL West in the second half. Above anything else, they just have to play to their capabilities.

Just gotta appreciate everything this team has accomplished..whatever happens the rest of this season..Timmy's no no happened.
