Chappy felt a hammy strain after his dive yesterday. Right now, BoMel just thinks he needs a day, but we will see how the old man responds.

If Schmidt has a decent day, leave him in for a few games
We haven’t seen a lot of it at the MLB level, but Schmitt’s 3B defense is supposed to be ELITE. Now if he can just harness his swing and miss, he has impressive power, so he could really be something special.

So give him a legit tryout, let's see what we've got.

I don’t feel he has been Jimmy Jack’d. He was given a long rope last year, and has been given time this year. He has holes that he needs to fix. That takes time. Remember how long Matty was on the SF/Phoenix express?

Eovaldi is no phuking joke, gents.

I don't expect a win today, but a nice outing from Winn would be nice.

How many runs have the Giants scored this season in no-out juice innings?

How many runs have the Giants given up in no-out juice innings?

It certain SEEMS like those numbers would be infuriating, but I would certainly like to see the actual numbers.

Giants certainly seem to agree with tzill on his assessment of Mason Black, turning to Spencer Howard and now Keaton Winn to fill out rotation spots. I had hoped Winn would return to a better form than what he showed before his IL stint but maybe the issue with his arm is more serious than he is letting on.

Very hard to sweep a team especially on the road. Still in it today but no one will be surprised if they don't manage a comeback.

Seriously, the only way to watch this is via Roku or mlb subscription?

Curious way the expand your fanbase
All the sports are moving in various ways to online platforms (Amazon, Roku, etc), we'll eventually live in a world where most of us don't use plain old TV anymore probably

yep.... worked in that industry for many years, so no surprise. streaming isn't my issue. my issue is the amount of accounts you'll need (prime, peacock, apple tv+, roku, netflix, xfinity, fox....) to see games we're used to seeing broadcast in the giant's market area.

of course you can get the mlb channel. and for other seasonal sports there will be the nba channel, nfl channel, pac12.com acc channel, pga channel. won't grow interest in the sport if/when it all flips to essentially pay
