Lincecum is definitely earning that raise for next season. $17M to $18M (O;m letting all of my frustrations out)
Agreed on all parts.. I'd say on the threat level color scale, I'm at yellow
Yeah well it's not looking good. Doggies are getting confident and they are up now 5-1 on the Pads, and Tim couldn't keep us in this game, and all those great games where we came from behind are a distant memory. The 'pen is crapping and the timely hits are not coming our way.
edit: yes I am pantshatting
Man, thinking about our farm system and what it would cost to get a Samardzija/anyone really.
Our farm system is already below average, how often can we keep shipping pieces off from it
Meanwhile for all the good moves Sabean made (Morse, Hudson)
His decision to pay Lincecum 17M per year is baffling
Tim's deal was to keep the years down. Less years more money. I'm ok with it, we had to see if his flashes of competence were real. We needed 5 starters.
Not fair to blame Lincecum tonight. Umps gave the D-Backs that 4th run on a missed check swing call. 3 runs over 6 innings is damn good at that yard. Giants have to score more runs off Colementer then one lousy run. 4 or 5 drives to the warning track not enough. Need a couple of hits and a blast now down 3 runs.
It is fair to blame Lincecum. 3 runs in 6 innings isn't a good start. It's a 4.5 ERA, nothing quality about that

If Timmyour #5 starter ends the year with a 4.50 ERA it's satisfactory. Not for his contract though.
He was paid for being a face of the franchise. I have no problems with it, the Giants are an organization that wants to take care of their people and players like that. It's not our money. 3 years or more would've been a disaster. Now when this deal is up we can let him go with no hard feelings and the fanbase won't be mad.
Not in that yard. Giants just came up flat with the bats tonight.
Another 7 pitch inning for ya, Stokes
Giants had many oppurtunities and made 0 of them. 1 run against shit pitchers in a hitter friendly park sucks. They are dropping faster than anyone ever imagined. Only 2 teams ever had as large of a lead as the Giants did 1/3 of the way through the season and lost that lead. After today that lead is down to 3. The dodgers smell blood and are surging. The Giants need a way to fix this fast it is already getting out of hand.
