Problem is that leadoff walks more often than not lead to runs scored in the inning

More often than not? Over 50% of them score? Doubtful. Closer did great, gave up no hits and only one walk with only a 1 run lead. Excellent pen work.

Yes. I believe 60%+ leadoff walks come around to score. I'd have to look it up but I think that number is close.
