This would be a cross-country move for Rizzo.

3. He hasn't played since October
4. Hes probably washed.

If we brought him in, we'd have to DFA someone like LWJ. Not impossible, but unlikely.

Matt Chapman continues to do what I said he would do when the we signed him last year & that’s strike out at I rate of 26.5% right in line with his career avg. He’s hitting .218 on the season & has a .240 BA on the back of his baseball card. Yet he still has a 2.1 WAR because of his exceptional defense. He’s just not a reliable offensive hitter only reaching over 80RBI in a season once. And yet he’s the Giants cleanup hitter. The Giants need to find a couple of real hitters in this lineup and move Chapman down to 6th or 7th at best.

He also has a very high OBP and some power which is part of his WAR. Our lineup has few better hitters, one reason I want them to find one somewhere
