I'm not forgetting Parra's single, I'm not counting his score as an earned run because of the bolded line above.
again, go back and reconstruct the inning without errors:
HR, 2b, out, 1b, out, 2b, out. 3 ER.

How about approaching it another way:again, go back and reconstruct the inning without errors:
HR, 2b, out, 1b, out, 2b, out. 3 ER.
This time you beat me to the punch.Assuming no errors...
Storey HR (1 ER)
CarGo double (CarGo on 2)
Arenado GO (CarGo on 3, 1 out)
Parra single (CarGo scores, Parra on 1, ER, 1 out)
Reynolds reaches on FC (Reynolds on 1, 2 out)
Wolters double (Reynolds on 3, Wolters on 2, 2 out)
Russin GO (3 out)
2 ERs.
How about approaching it another way:
1) Story - home run (1)
2) Gonzalez - double
3) Arenado - ground out to shortstop (1 out), Gonzalez advances to 3rd
4) Parra - single to center, Gonalez scores (2)
5) Reynolds grounds into fielder's choice, Parra out at 2nd (2 outs), Reynolds safe at first
6) Wolters doubles to deep left, Reynolds advances to 3rd
7) Rusin grounds out to 2nd (3 outs)
Either way, I think we all agree at least 10 of the 13 runs should be unearned.
I look at the highlights and all I can think is...Holy shit did you guys see that monster HR Stanton hit tonight? 490 damn feet.
Dude's trying to impress his new hitting coach, and probably succeeding.
Assuming no errors...

The official scorer obviously has never watched how slow Reynolds runs.I think the official scorer would assume Reynolds scores on the double.
OR, it could be that when reconstructing the inning, a FC is changed to a GO.
It was encouraging that they didn't just give up, esp after the previous game disaster. At least they bought some more time to resolve the PV/Cain issue.Good job, bats. And Bum for the most part. Pretty great outside of the 2nd.
Perhaps I'm the exception that proves the rule. I've always been a fan. Plus, I think there is a strong chance that we have NOT seen the best of him yet.Belt has really reached his projected potential this year. I'm glad we stuck with him, I think all of us wanted to cut bait on him at one time or another.
