It's one of the main arguments @calsnowskier brought up when discussing the extension.

It seems so sudden that he's become injury prone. Guess I shouldn't be surprised considering cal was warning about it.
On the up side, he's already close to equaling his playing time from last year.

And he is still effective when he does play. This season should still be a solid year. I think next year MIGHT be good. But '18 will be painful.

I have been saying this almost since day one. I like him, but I fully expect the last couple years of that contract to be rough. I think we already starting to see this eking in. Unfortunately, we lost one of his productive seasons to a fluke injury.

I do really like his increased walk-rate/OBP game. That will help the transition, if he can get more selective.

How surprising was that overturned call in the 3rd? I was listening to the Padres' radio broadcast and they were actually surprised that Bochy would even challenge that call. Made it sound like he was out by a mile and then sounded annoyed when it was overturned.

I keep catching myself thinking he is having a bad year, then I look at his numbers. He is producing, it is just doing it quietly.

Outside of his durability, my main concern is his defense. He has looked very questionable so far this year.

Oh yeah he should probably be moved to LF as soon as next year.

The Padre tv crew (Orsilla and Grant) were saying he was out, then they saw the replay that was on the scoreboard in the stadium and they changed their tune. They actually were expecting the overturn.
