To be fair, after last season, he looked like he was the 38th to 40th guy on the 40 man roster. Glad he's turned it around (and that FZ was actually patient with someone from the farm - and, yes, I know that is an exaggeration).

So, I watched the recorded game late last night. My observations:

1. Black is just simply not ready. I think he will be good and a valuable rotation piece, just not in 2024
2. Jax hasn't been sharp lately. Hopefully he finds his command.
3. Rest of the bullpen: 5.1 IP; 5 H; 0 ER; 2 BB; 4 K
4. Everybody reached base; only Heliot (2BB) and Sabol (BB) were without hits.
5. Hitters: 14-37 (.378); 6 BB; 5K
6. RISP .294
