This may have been the case 10 years ago but now we have 19 year olds playing in the NHL on a regular basis.
That's not relevant? There have always been teenagers in the NHL. Those guys are generational caliber players and don't weigh in to the WJC tournament because they go straight to the NHL. Therefore, those guys are irrelevant for this conversation.
19 year old Frost, if he develops appropriately, will be much better than 18 year old Frost. 19 year old Frost will be trusted by Hockey Canada more than 18 year old Frost was. Just like Laughton who didn't make it as an 18 year old. Just like 18 year old Giroux was not trusted, but 19 year old Giroux was.
