This may have been the case 10 years ago but now we have 19 year olds playing in the NHL on a regular basis.

That's not relevant? There have always been teenagers in the NHL. Those guys are generational caliber players and don't weigh in to the WJC tournament because they go straight to the NHL. Therefore, those guys are irrelevant for this conversation.

19 year old Frost, if he develops appropriately, will be much better than 18 year old Frost. 19 year old Frost will be trusted by Hockey Canada more than 18 year old Frost was. Just like Laughton who didn't make it as an 18 year old. Just like 18 year old Giroux was not trusted, but 19 year old Giroux was.

Lets just say Frost is at his potential in 5 years (as Hexy stated this week) what does one forward do for us with Gee Jake and Simmer at ages 34 and up?

It's not a vacuum. We're not pinning our hopes and dreams on Frost. His development has nothing to do with Allison, Ratcliffe, Marody, Strome, Lacyzinski, Bunnanman, etc. They all develop and get better. Maybe Frost takes 5 years to hit his full potential. Maybe it takes Provorov 5 years to hit his potential too, but he's damn useful today, before he hits his full potential.

Well if this koneckny starts playing at this level then I say keep him there and let him build his confidence, He was totally lost trying to play on a line with scrubs, Like I was saying, and have said, There is no such thing as a plan to get a cup, it's just a plan to bolster and strengthen your team, this team has proved it can raise it's level of play.

What forwards on our team have been developed appropriately to make you think this is going to happen? If you want say Couts fine but waiting 7 years is way to long.

I should have said it took this long for Couts to hit his offensive potential. I don't think anyone would doubt he has been a legitimate NHL since he made the team. I think people were giving up on him being more than a top defensive center with 15 -20 - 35 potential. His defense hasn't dropped off at all with his new scoring touch.

I always thought this type of Couts was going to break out a lot sooner since he did have two 90 plus point season in the minors i just wonder why it took so long.
