Even an elite D can only hold up for so long. Our offense has been an absolute joke the last two weeks, and we've seen our D, which has generally played well, come apart in the 4th quarter.

I'm not using it as an excuse, but let's see him drive this offense with Crabby, VD, Manningham, etc. before we give up on him. He's flustered right now, no doubt about it. Patience needs to be given.

It is certainly an excuse, you are saying that he is struggling because his receivers are bad; however that has never been allowed a a viable excuse before so I'm not going to start now. Regardless of the name on the back of the jersey, he has had open guys that he's missed or just hasn't seen. He isn't a great QB at this point, it appears as though defenses have figured him out.

At this point I don't even think about extending him, I'd let him play out his rookie contract and hope that he improves.
