The last time the 49ers trailed at halftime in a home game was November 11th of last year vs. the Rams. They were ahead 14-7. That was the game that ended in a tie - 24-24.

Why do we fair catch a ball inside the 10?

Every team does now. The PRs job is to read where the coverage unit is as well. A punt from midfield that is going to land on the 8, if it's allowed to drop, has a good chance to be downed inside the 5 when half the punt team is down behind the PR.

You can fair catch it at the 8 or 10 and take the ball there, or trust that it will manage to bounce past 5 or 6 guys into the endzone. If it doesn't take the right bounce for you, you get it inside the 3.

It isn't Madden set to Rookie difficulty. The other team will get first downs sometimes. You can't expect the score to finish 77-0 every week with every player on the team setting a personal best/league record.

Indy has a pretty good QB, some pretty good WRs, and according to the 2012 a pretty good RB. They're not going to finish the game with 0 total yards.

Even on the Colts TD drive, the 49er defense got the shaft on two shitty calls. Defense has been good.

OT: Cecil Shorts just dropped a TD catch that went right through Sherman's hands and then hit Shorts square in the chest as he was falling backwards. It would've been an 18-yard TD.

And now an INT for Seattle after a ball was doinked off a Jags OL head and then tipped into the air by a Jags receiver and then picked off by Seattle. Kind of a similar play to the doinked INT the 49ers had last week in the redzone.

Imac, you've gotta admit this game has sucked. The Colts are the team playing shorthanded at OL....which wasn't good to begin with....but the Niners can't lay a finger on Luck. Meanwhile the offense is just discombobulated and has done nothing outside of the unusual drive with 80 yards rushing. Tough team to watch for 6 quarters now, obviously that is shaded by the fact that they looked so explosive week 1.
