The NFC was too good for the past couple of years. It makes sense that there is some regression in players leaving like Suh and players retiring like half of the Niners team.

The Niners wasted a couple of years pre-Harbaugh and left their championship window short. Im not sure what the upside the Rams are building right now but last year certainly felt like a waste.

They just put Kaepernick on the trading block too.

Maybe the Niners did Harbaugh a favor...

Frank Gore is headed to Philly and Iupati may be gone as well. They did sign an aging and just returning from a knee injury, Darnell Docket who may or may not be of any help but the Niners are definitely entering a downturn cycle that much is for sure.

And if Blackwell in Seattle signs tomorrow with Philly with that huge proposed deal, Seattle is facing a weakening of their team too.

Dockett might be a good signing for them, he seems real motivated to come back and kick some ass. Of course, after losing that many pieces will it really matter if he does?

That remains to be seen. If Caepernick goes, Gore is gone, Iupati goes, Smith on the D-line has retired, the Niners are in a state of flux and the real Dr. York and his ability to screw things up is emerging.

Its crazy what a difference a year makes. Remember this time last year they were stacked and had like 18 draft picks!! I was thinking they should be great forever. I think they did land WR T.Smith but I think they will lose Crabtree.

Crabtree is another that is contemplating going. They could be staring at their first losing season since Harbaugh took over.

Ah, good old Crabtree. Did I ever tell you about the cabbie in Vegas who told me about Crabtree? He said Crabtree spent the whole ride talking about how he's the best player in the NFL and how much money he makes. Which is bad enough right? Then he tips the cabbie 14 cents. What a guy lol

Sounds like Torrey Smith could be coming in though (to go with Boldin, Stevie and Ellington). Crabtree hasn't been all that so far (partly due to Kaepernick). Dockett can help replace Smith, and the Niners still have Aldon/Lynch at rush OLB, along with Brooks, Bowman, and Borland to fill out the starting LBs. They have Hyde ready to replace Gore.

I'll believe in the demise of the Niners when I see it. They'll slip a bit, as Smith, Gore, and Willis were leaders in addition to being very talented, but they're not going to hit rock bottom.

I'm not going to get my hopes up just yet. If there's one thing about the Niners, they always disappoint me lol.

Looks like the NFC West could be slipping. I guess it's due for it...

I really could care less about the 49ers. I care about how the Rams are going to straighten out the offense. I can't take another dissappointing season.

eh, kind of sucks to lose those guys on the niners. I kind of liked having the NFC West as the toughest conference in the NFL; gives us an excuse as to why we keep losing and ending up in last place. Now I will have to hear from my big mouth friends about how the NFC East will be back to dominance again.

Well, at least I won't have to deal with Willis in Madden football anymore, the guy is a monster in that game lol
