Mullens has got tio be the dumbest QB in the league. had an easy run for first down on 4th down. Could have run for 15 yards and instead throws a hail mary out of bounds.
This guy is really dumb. That's about the 4th time I've seen him do something like that. Any high school QB would know to get the first down.

Played them tough just no talent and a mentally challenged QB.

That right there is why Mullens is a backup.

QB stats in todays game are so out of whack, the only way you can really judge them is by what they do on 3rd down, or what they do at the end of halves/games.

I wouldn't care if Mullens threw for 500 yards......that last play is.....eeessh.

I thought Mullens played a decent game today, but I have to agree, that 4th down pass instead of hoofing it for a gimme 1st down and then out of bounds to stop the clock, was a very poor decision on his part.

Mullens is a back up. This game went about like I thought it would. Niners are picking 3rd in the draft at the moment.

i didn't watch the game nor read anything yet, but appears the D played well. If you only give up 14 points, you're supposed to win these games.

They are a good defensive team. Offensively they played very conservatively and not to.lose

We DID get turnovers and two of them to boot. We got THREE sacks in this game. We did give up one INT. Penalties weren't that bad at 6.

But we STILL lost?! Dang, this offense was bad yesterday. I get the Bears D has something to do with it, but only 3 field goals at home, is very dissapointing.

George Kittle caught 7-of-12 targets for 74 yards and officials should have penalized the Bears safety whose arm bar prevented a Kittle TD. With Dante Pettis out because of a MCL injury, Marquise Goodwin took over, caught 3-of-8 targets for 29 yards and, most important, appeared to short-arm a fourth-down throw that resulted in a red-zone interception. Kendrick Bourne had a nice 25-yard catch-and-run on the final series.

Ok, i guess we should've had one TD.

Geez, Goodwin, but then why are you throwing to Goodwin in the red zone?

Now Pettis is beginning to be worrisome, is he injury prone like Jimmy Ward?

Good teams get good breaks....bad ones get bad ones. Trubisky throws a pick, and the Bears are saved by a meaningless penalty.

It was unbelievably bad. The first thing Shanahan is going to do today is sit Mullens down, show him the film of that play and say "what the fuck, son?"

No Brieda, no Pettis, no Celek, no Garcon; Kittle being double and triple teamed. Who else is he going to throw to?
