Manning first visited the Broncos two days later, followed by a visit to the Cardinals, but there have been other unreported developments during last weekend, such as the Seattle Seahawks parking a jet at an airport in the Denver area in a failed attempt to visit with the quarterback, according to sources.

On a very childish level and just the basic, stupid picture of this in my head, this made me laugh. Even though I am sure the picture in my head is probably inaccurate and different from the way it actually went down or looked.

12 million a year would be nice for a QB like Peyton even if he has lost step after the surgery, but it's guaranteed part that scares me. If he is wanting half his contract guaranteed it would worry me. We don't need 5 years worth of Manning so you have to figure we end up releasing him after 3 years maybe even 2 but it all depends on his level of play of course and the development of Kaepernick. How much of that 30+ million effects our cap in those last years of the contract would be a big deal

yea same, I'm supposed to leave and handle some business, but I can't get off the refresh button as if I expect manning to tell broncos and titans that he was so blown away by his meeting with us that he doesn't want to meet them anymore. I'm sure he will be a 49er in the next 5 minutes.

Sign Manning to a 3 year deal, with lots of incentives and injury clauses.

Then tell Alex to take a backup job, and write up Alex's contract such that if he becomes the starter the money will escalate to starter's money.

Simple as that.


We owe it to the defense to put the best possible offense on the field.
This is the best defense in the league right now, and I believe this kind of defense with all 11 starters coming back and probably more depth than last year, it only comes around once every 5 years or so in the NFL.
