Strickland with another clean 1-2-3 save, he's really settling in perhaps. Melancon = 8th inning guy?

I know it's early but the Dodgers just do not seem like last year's juggernaut. Maybe replaced by Arizona, who are killing it without Lamb and others.

I know it's early but the Dodgers just do not seem like last year's juggernaut. Maybe replaced by Arizona, who are killing it without Lamb and others.

Turner has been out, and 'Shaw on pace for 6 wins and Jansen looking at 5+era and 2 blsvs so far, and Bell facing sophomore jinx.

Mac was also on a 30+ pace until he decided to be a crash test dummy with the wall along the lf foul line.

I guess enough time has passed to REALLY talk about that play...

That was a dumb play on his part. Running that fast and that hard toward the wall is just asking for trouble. When I saw him running, I just knew it was not going to end well.

Powe is a good ability to have.
Speed is a good ability too have.

But the most important ability any player can have is availability.

That was a dumb play on his part. Running that fast and that hard toward the wall is just asking for trouble. When I saw him running, I just knew it was not going to end well.

When the beloved player you are trying to replace is known for reckless hustle on the field, you are going to feel the pressure to do the same. When its already been ingrained in you by multiple coaches, the situation becomes ripe for an injury such as this.

To be fair, if the mounds weren't there he probably makes the catch, or goes into a slide. The mounds always been there, true, but it did fuck everything up.

It is a bit of a catch 22. If he goes all out, he gets hurt and is criticized for being glass. If he holds up, he is criticized for having no heart or being a prime donna.
