Okert has been bypassed by Osich. I am not sure what happened to him. He had a great arm, and seemed to have good control. He has struggled with control and hits the last year or so. In 2012-2014, his WHIP was about 1.10. In 2015, his WHIP was 1.48. It is 1.25 in SSS in 2016.

In 2015, when he jumped from AA to AAA, lefties hit .228, righties hit .284

I like what I have seen when I have seen him pitch. And he has the same birthday as my son! I hope he continues to work out his issues in AAA and can help the big club in the near future.

He's looking more and more like a LOOGY. With a straight fastball (mid 90s) and sweeping slider, he just doesn't have that 3rd pitch against right-handers.

Seeing as how Kike seems to be a take off on Enrique, it wouldn't be too hard for him to change to the spelling to include the "que" in it instead of the "ke". That being said I think the correct spelling of it is Kiké. Notice the accent.

It would be pronounced kee-KAY with the accent.

The accent is to distinguish it, in English, from the epithet. But it's incorrect.
