It was nice but 2016 seems to be the year that they've run their course.
This is frustrating to watch right now, but the org is well prepared for this.

Strickland, Law, Osich, Otero, Black, Crick, Gearrin, Broadway...

Yeah at least Casilla's stuff still looks crisp. Lopez just isn't locating and that's his game.
Lopez has lost his invincibility against lefties. Once they feel comfortable, forget about it.

Indeed. I think we should give him some leeway since he's been the best at this for 6 years now, but it's not looking good so far.

Way to go Casillia. Great team win. Time to take another series from these losers tomorrow.

Um, Otero's with the Indians now....and he's 31.

There are some kids who are flamethrowers in the low minors.

Agree 100%. In GDTs I talk from heart and in the heat of the moment. These guys have all earned quite a bit of rope, and have not gotten to the point of losing their jobs yet. Not even close.

I think it's more indicative that he get's PT at as many positions as possible, potentially to be a useful player sometime soon (not like this month soon, but maybe at some point this year).

Arroyo is still only 20. 20!

He turns 21 at the end of May.

The kid can rake.

Yup. Kid looks to be something special. But remember. The Giants had no idea what they were doing when they totally over-drafted him.

Love it. And he's a pro's pro talking with fans, interacting with the kids. He just gets it. Can't wait for him, but hopefully he can come up when he's ready and not needed.

I can't imagine he comes up this year, regardless. Even in the case of multiple infield injuries, he would be far enough down the "now" depth chart, that he will not be used.

Green, Lee, Gonnor will all be used first, I think. Maybe Pena as well.

Otero. Okert.

Same thing.

Okert has been bypassed by Osich. I am not sure what happened to him. He had a great arm, and seemed to have good control. He has struggled with control and hits the last year or so. In 2012-2014, his WHIP was about 1.10. In 2015, his WHIP was 1.48. It is 1.25 in SSS in 2016.

In 2015, when he jumped from AA to AAA, lefties hit .228, righties hit .284

I like what I have seen when I have seen him pitch. And he has the same birthday as my son! I hope he continues to work out his issues in AAA and can help the big club in the near future.
