Congrats to the Warriors.

Curious to see how Boston responds next season.
The defense will always be there, but have to see how this affects their psyche moving forward.

But if you are easily replaced by guys like Wiggins and Barnes? Then that should tell you something.

Warriors haven't missed a beat without him 4 conf finals wins and 2 rings. So if Durant can never win without them he should never crack top 20 all time

Durant was not “replaced” by Wiggins or Barnes.

The Warriors won this year because honestly there weren’t any great teams out there and they had the experience to outlast.

Transplant the LeBron + Kyrie Cavs or the Harden CP3 Rockets this season and they win.

Warriors were an all time great team with KD. They are good enough to win without him, but they are not anywhere close to what they were with him.

Jaren Jackson tweeted: "Strength in numbers" after the Grizz beat the W's earlier this season.

Klay took offense to that.

They'll be fine.

Udoka's first season as coach and Tatum and Brown are 24 and 25.

I expect they will be pretty similar to what they were this year.

Good enough to win if they get a few breaks, but also can be beat by quite a few teams.

So it isn’t necessarily a step backwards if they don’t get as far.

Curry is so hard to rank on all time lists.

He just doesn’t pass the eye test in the same way the physical freaks do and he can’t carry a team by himself.

But if we are being truly honest?

In terms of impact on winning?

Curry is probably somewhere in the Tim Duncan neighborhood.

But there are guys like Kevin Durant who look the part but simply don’t have resumes to match Curry’s. And I think Curry’s resume places him ahead of Durant even though Durant is the more talented/skilled player.
Curry is a better team player.....

If the W's had KD? Probably would have been a sweep.

73 wins, 2 rings, 4 conf finals wins

Thats not just good enough to win without him. That's a dynasty. And who knows how many more they make.

73 wins didn’t get a ring. Not an all time great team.

2017 almost swept the playoffs. They were the best team I have ever seen.

Warriors might just win again. Especially if Moody, Wiseman and Kuminga can develop into good players.

But 2017 - 2019 everyone knew who was going to win the title. It took 2 season ending injuries to Klay and KD to keep the Dubs down in 2019.

The teams without KD were absolutely good enough to win, and they did twice. But it was far from certain. They had to work hard and get a few breaks of their own to get through.

That was an embarrassment last night by the Celtics, especially our two "superstars" Brown and Tatum.. They had better not be out celebrating this weekend (well they can celebrate their fathers) but you know what I mean

I still hate this "they are young" nonsense though! They played like they were 45... They showed no heart last night, none!

IMO, Boston needs a vet true PG to organize and run the offense. They too often fall into the trap of 1 on 1 basketball which stops the ball and/or causes an awkward poor pass/turnover.

Is that guy available this summer? Likely has to be via trade, since the $6.4M TPE isn't likely to get them someone like Rubio or Brunson. Most of the other guys available are shoot-first SGs that can pass a little IMO. Does Rondo have anything left? The Celtics do have some trade exceptions to take on salary if another team is looking to clear cap.

It isn't nonsense though. There is a fairly long, traceable history of teams having to go through a learning process that sometimes includes losing in their first finals appearance...especially when facing a team with championship experience.

I agree with the exception of the Harden team. The combination of Harden and CP3 in the playoffs is doomed to fail in one way or another. Just one of those guys is enough; both on the same roster is too much to overcome.

Imagine if warriors keep winning rings. Durant can tell his grand kids "I won two but they also won 4 without me"

Just a bad look.

Luckily kawhi will stop warriors next season in my opinion and probably the season after as well

It feels like they were two different franchises under Durant and without him

That's why mentally it still feels like curry is just a 2x champion

The stats don't track. 17% is basically one in six chance. That's high even for championship favorites. That site has given very dubious stats before but this one is just cringe worthy.

The fact that the site projected the Warriors to go 36-46 devalues anything they are projecting now anyway.

They are great players, but they need a veteran to run that offense IMO. Smart is a great defender and team player, but he's not the guy to run the offense.
