He was suspended back in 2001 I believe. Don't quote me on that I'm going off memory. If that is the case I think they will consider him a repeat offender if there is any supplemental discipline. IMO I think there will be.

I saw the hit on NHL tonight and it didn't look bad. It looked like his arm went to the chest first then came up and maybe caught him in the jaw. I'm surprised that it gave him a concussion from the replay I saw. If he is suspended, I would think its only for a game.

:noidea: why, I didnt 't see a high hit. Nash was looking down at the puck and was caught with a hit.

I haven't bothered to check but is it true that Nash skated a few more shifts after the hit before calling it a night?

I thought that's not how "concussion protocol" stuff worked?

Pretty much what i saw, Nash did the ole Lindros, im tall and the pucks in my feet so im looking down and he got blasted. But the league is becoming NFL like in its rules so it wouldnt shock me to see a suspension

Nash was looking down but Stuart got his hands and arms up in the area of Nash's head. The play really doesn't look like much but with a penalty being called and an injury on the play the league is going to look at it.

I'm not sure the Sharks have the cap space to call anyone else up without sending another player down. They have both Burns and Pelech, who they called up today, who can play both forward and defense. Though, Pelech is worse on defense than he is at forward. My guess is they'll just insert Hannan and hope no one gets injured in the next three games.

So I guess every superstar from the EAST are protected from any kind of hits. Don't agree but ohwell, it is what it is.

Hey Cmon, are the Sharks that close to the cap limit?

Stuart suspended for 3 games.

Its really getting to the point to where the guy getting hit has no personal responsability for putting himself in a stupid position in the first place, i really hope this league doesnt become touch football like the NFL

To the best I can figure the Sharks currently have approx. $15.5k in cap/LTIR space available. As long as they don't add anyone else to the roster without sending someone else down that amount will continue to increase on a daily basis as long as Torres is on LTIR.

EDIT: Make that approx $12.5k in cap/LTIR space.
