Nets without Kyrie, Harden for pivotal Game 5

Kyrie Irving (ankle) and James Harden (hamstring) will miss Game 5 on Tuesday against the Bucks, the Nets say. Irving had an MRI on his ankle, which confirmed a sprain.

Nash also said that James Harden (hamstring) is currently working out but did not know his status for Tuesday's Game 5. The team later ruled him out for the game.

He's supposed to be one of the best outside shooters in the game.....allegedly.

He absolutely is one of the best shooters in the league.

But there is a big difference when you are number 2 on the scouting report and his man never leaves to help.

He got open shots left and right playing with the big 3.

If the Bucks lose game 5 they probably lose the series. They can't let this game slip through their fingers when the Nets are this banged up. KD's obviously great. But I don't see him putting the Nets on his back and carrying them to a win.

1) KD goes off. 40+
2) Role players step off....mainly Joe Harris and Blake
3) Pray the Bucks shoot 3's as poorly as they did in games 1-3
4) Foul Giannis early and often. No easy baskets.

Also, last I checked the series is not done. Now with no Kyrie/Harden in game 5, it is a slam dunk that Bud is out of a job if his team do not take advantage of this

I don’t know if I have to eat my crow on this one yet because Game 4 was his first showing up in the series but Damn he had a game Sunday. I was saying I didn’t want him for the Sixers. I may have been wrong. He’d be a nice bench piece now that Danny Green is out.

You were wrong.

He is the type of role player that fits well on any team. Just gritty and tough.

This season he shot nearly 50% from the field and over 40% from 3. That's very efficient and his 3 pointing shooting makes the Nets very difficult to defend. The Nets have missed him in this series

This season is the only one I feel he has looked good. Maybe playing with a super team is what he needed.

Harden upgraded to "doubtful" for tonight's game.

If I'm the Nets...he sits until they're facing elimination.
