My goodness...was there really ever any doubt?
Now they get to rest up for almost another week.

Damn!

How do we convince @WiggyRuss to put on his Warriors hat and write the 1000 word screed about how good the Warriors are? I ain't about that kind of life.

So Dubs swept the Jazz. Shocked.

Actually...yeah. I am kinda shocked. This isn't Toronto, who are iso bums and match up perfectly for Cleveland. Utah is a legitimately good team. I figured it'd be a gentleman's sweep (5 games) but GS dismantled them with extraordinary ease. None of the games were ever remotely close. That was quite impressive.

Describe this championship experience that Hill has.

Championship series, not Finals. Spurs and Pacers. The couple years the Spurs couldnt get to the Finals. He still was coached for 3 years under Pop, cant get better than that

I know. I'm impressed with the way they beat the Jazz as well. But I'm not shocked in the least that it was a sweep.

But it is also clear -- that KD is the better player. (and I love Curry)

No matter what happens in playoffs (it could go either way) -- it will be really interesting if Durant commits to the Ws long-term -- or if he moves along the next season. (partly so he can win another Championship down the road without feeling like he is a bandwagon jumper)

I agree he's the better 1 on 1 player. But I don't think he feels like he's a bandwagon jumper by any means. If he was going to feel like that why go there in the first place? it wasn't like the reasons people might think he is has changed or that they didn't exist before he signed with the Dubs in July.

There is zero chance he's leaving unless Draymond does something drastic like spitting on his Mama.

There is no way a Dude that sensitive would choose to endure another round of vitriol.

According to Kenrick Perkins who talks to Durant he thinks KD will try and come back to OKC. He can stay chasing rings as far as Im concerned.

Kendrick Perkins said he brokered a phone call between Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant that took place after Westbrook eclipsed Oscar Robertson's triple-double record last month.

Perkins, a teammate of Westbrook and Durant with the Oklahoma City Thunder from 2011 to 2015, recalled in an appearance on TNT's "Area 21" on Tuesday night that after he had been attempting to "figure out a way to try to make them talk again, because I felt like the outside world was putting a beef there that really wasn't too serious," that Durant messaged him with the news.

"I think the night that Russ actually broke the record, I had texted KD," Perkins said, referring to April 10, after Westbrook and Durant had yet to officially speak since Durant joined the Golden State Warriors in July. "The next day, he was talking about something and he sent me a text and was like, 'Me and Russ had a nice conversation.' The media don't even know nothing about it, but I just let it be known that they're back on talking terms, the differences are aside."

Perkins, 32, didn't play this season but has said he isn't ready to retire.

He added that Durant's eventual return to the Thunder wasn't out of the question.

"I wouldn't be surprised -- if KD makes a little run, I wouldn't be surprised if he goes back to Oklahoma," Perkins said.
"Because in my opinion, I don't think Russ is going anywhere. He's that type of guy. He just wants to stick it out, and he just wants you to give him those pieces and he just wants to roll with it. He's not going and trying to run and chase [titles]. And one thing about it, he's not begging nobody to come play with him."

The apparent phone call was a stark cry from three months ago, when neither Westbrook nor Durant was interested in talking about their relationship during All-Star Weekend. They did connect in the All-Star Game, as Durant fed Westbrook for a lob in the first quarter, just a minute after Westbrook checked into the game for the first time.

During training camp, Westbrook told reporters he wasn't answering any additional questions about Durant, though he did handle a few in early February, leading up to Durant's return game in Oklahoma City. Then during that game, the two had an on-court exchange, with Westbrook yelling, "I'm coming!" and Durant responding that Westbrook was still going to lose.

Westbrook said following the Feb. 11 contest -- a 130-114 Warriors victory -- that he had moved on, with him focused on his team while Durant focuses on his.

Iirc, Perkins said something similar a while back about another player which turned out to be completely false.

Draymond has really been on a roll the last couple days

- Calls Kelly Olynyk a dirty player who he has no respect for
- Admits to lying about his account being hacked during the whole d pic fiasco
- Complains about the level of competition the Cavs are facing in the East
- Calls Jazz fans stupid and not loud

Did I miss anything?

Like I said, it all sounds like wishful thinking at this point.

We have to consider that KD didn't even tell Russ when he was planning to leave & sign in GS & they were boys, yet we're supposed to believe that he told Perkins this during their run for a title, literally???

I said Lebron would never go back to the Cavs.

Look how that turned out.

I just don't see it with KD.

They're not even close, a healthy Clippers team would have beaten them in the first round.

It's amazing that by getting swept by the Warriors, that somehow warrants people overrating the hell out of this team.

Healthy Clippers is a oxymoron.

We may as well get used to many championships from the Warriors. No one is stopping them for a LONG time except injuries or another SuperStar team even more super than the Cavs.

If the Warriors manage to nab a quality big man over the summer than its over the rest of the league for sure
