If you drop the conferences and go 1-16 overall, Cleveland would have played Memphis in the first round, and Golden State would have drawn the Bulls (Who were playing top ball before Rondo went down) .

No tell me that isn't better than this mess?

Keep the conferences the same for the regular season to get your 16 teams.
Then seed them 1-16.

gotta say- Shumpert has had some nice moments in the playoffs thus far- esp. these first two games against the Raptors. Its been nice that him and Smith have come around

again- these guys just seem to be giving a lot more effort than they did towards the end of the regular season.

so whats the alternative? single cover lebron and kyrie?

That's why I say that the Cavs offense is enough to get them out of the East. It's pick your poison. If you double Lebron or Kyrie, they are going to move the ball to the open guy. You can't double them both at the same time, so someone is going to be open or single covered.

If you single cover them, whoever is stuck with that assignment is in for a long night.

There's no one in the East who can defend them AND match or exceed them offensively.

Oh he can be stopped. By a quality defender who knows his shit. Or at least contained. Pippen would shut his assdown QUICK. Leonard gives him nightmares too

:L

Not likely. Pippen could have slowed him. Kawhi does slow him...no one is shutting him down.

The one and only way, imo, to defend Lebron is to put your best defender on him, keep the ball out of his hands as much as possible and try to make him a passer and hope that his teammates aren't hitting their shots. If that same guy can make him work hard on defense, that would help too.

Better to have Lebron score 20 points and get 10+ assists than score 30 and get 10+ assists.

You do understand that the Cavs had a lot to do with how bad the Raptors looked...right?

To a point.. But The Pacers shouldn't be presenting more of a challenge than the Raptors. And DeRozan's D-league play is inexcusable. I dont care who he's playing.

And they dont even make one lousy adjustment after Game 1? Its a shit show all the way around. Raptors are AWFUL bottom line

Carroll, Tucker and Patterson a combined 1/12. If the Cavs are gonna blitz DeRozan- those 3 are gonna have to convert some of the time--- that rate is just not ognna cut it.

I said this before and I'm telling y'all again, if the Cavs win it again this year no NBA superstar will play 82 games ever again. Teams can always say the cavs did it and their players were well rested to win the title. with that said, someone needs to start the Cavs vs Warriors rematch thread now.
