I think he wants to do exactly what Lue did last year- play it out and try and max his value.

If they lose- they still bring him back- if they win- they have to pay him a huge ransom. David Griffin isnt going anywhere I will guarantee you that.

though- total control, a ton of money and no expectations has to at least give him a pause.
