the first two results, sbnation & bleacher report, I wont accept as they're blogs sites

but we can use the 3rd result

Putting the NBA's stars into tiers: There aren't many true superstars

he breaks the term "superstar" itself down into tiers.

which using that definition ... its not out of the realm of possibility Oubre could fall into that last category ... seeing as he was a first round pick.

this whole conversation is so dumb ... i was just saying i like the kid. :gaah:

I agree it is very dumb.

No idea how you can read This article and still discuss Oubre as a potential superstar when level 2 on his tier list is titled "pretenders".

News flash, pretenders are not actually superstars. what you fail to realize is that your claim suggests Oubre will someday be one of the 5 best players in the entire league. I know that is morning what you mean, but you really should stop saying it. At least in this forum with some pretty knowledgeable people.

no ... its not

as i said before ... we can agree to disagree

Level 2:

Players perceived by many to be superstars but aren't quite there.

I read it very quickly. Not sure where pretenders came in, but not there means they are not superstars.

You can agree to disagree all you want, but literally nobody agrees with you and this article fully backs my take. I bet you can't find a reputable source who will back yours.

I am done though, because there is no point in arguing with someone who has been proven wrong and still can't admit it.

now you're arguing with the author of the article ... he is the one who has labeled them tier 2 superstars, not me

purdy sure i mentioned this before ... but this whole topic you keep directing us down is subjective not objective

Subjective vs Objective

there is not a right or wrong answer

but, you post on the SportsHoopla so you're an authority ... lol

Dude.

Look at what you posted. The author named 4 superstars at the time of this piece. "Level 2 superstars" are players who aren't actually superstars.

There is some subjectivity to the debate. NOt nearly as much as you are trying to make.

But, LOL at the dude using an article that has a near identical definition to what a true superstar is to mine a superstar evidence he is right.

you come up with that all by yourself ... or did lance whisper it into your ear ?

If you've seen my past work, I'm usually keen on identifying posters who argue just to argue once they're put into a corner.

Al Horford by the way

21 pts, 9 boards, 10 assists on a stellar 10/13 shooting in the series opener...

coming off a series where he averaged- 15.3 pts, 8.5 boards, 6.5 assists on 59.7% shooting and was easily the Celtics 2nd best player- if not best player for the series.

Hes a damn good player.
