I think most will agree that Jerry Rice is the best receiver to have ever played although it could be argued I suppose. Just wondering who everyone thinks is the 2nd best.

I am a homer but i'll say Randy Moss, in his early years at Minnesota he was as good as I have ever seen, teams drafted and game planned for him more than any receiver in history.

Who you got?

Hell, Jerry Rice isn't even the best 49ers receiver of all time.

I've gotta go with the other Viking receiver. Cris Carter.

I'd put Harrison or Isaac Bruce in the discussion.. But most will probably choose Moss..

I agree on Bruce, one of the best route runners of all time IMO.

Probably Don Hutson

Megatron has a chance to get into the discussion, though

Moss for me. The way he dominated double and at times triple coverage was ridiculous. Outside of Brady (who he made that year, Brady's #s nowhere near it since) he hasn't played with THAT great of QBs.

And Moss wasn't even trying that hard. He made it look so effortless. Give him Rice's work ethic and Moss is #1 all time.

Yeah, thats the problem I have with putting Moss near the top of the list. He was clearly the most talented WR ever when he stepped on the field as a rookie and was content with just being that guy and not really getting any better
