21 fucking recruits. Couldn't even fill the fucking class.
Our AD was doing the right thing the masses screamed. This will impact the future of WVU football for years to come.
4-star RB Leddie Brown Commits To WVU
Well, looks like the impact is happening right before our eyes..
Impact of Dana having a new contract? Yep... this is proof the contract helps with recruiting.
We signed how many 4 stars last year?
No no no, our recruiting will suffer for years and years , you have those extensions in place when these recruits are in middle school, DOOOM and GLOOOOM .
Me and ol Shano tried to tell you that it wasn't THAT big of a factor...and we wuz right.
NO... NO...
Don't be a stupid fuck. The lack of a contract fucked the '16 and '17 classes. The '17 class was pathetic. The results of those two years will be felt in the future when the Old Gold and Blue hits the football field to face the might of Texas, OU, and Okie St with their higher ranking classes the next couple of years.
I told all you boys that recruiting for the '18 class starts with Spring Junior days in '17. We'll see the benefit of the contract now.
The '17 class was destroyed because ole Shane put Dana on the hot seat for the 2nd year in a row in Feb. '16. As a result, there was no buzz through the '16 spring recruiting season... and sadly for Mountaineer football and its fans... it lead to no buzz in February when NSD came and went.
Wonder how this early signing period works for them..
Dana made a comment about this which made a bunch of sense to me. He said kids who enroll early don't get to enjoy all the fanfare that goes into NSD celebrations. He has more and more kids wanting to enroll in January, so the early signing period will give these kids a chance to do something special.
I think its going to be a big benefit for Wv's recruiting effort...I think there will be less kids flipping at the last moment...
Was watching the draft...and I know this is getting granular with just "ONE" recruit but how is it that this staff didn't think Ryan Switzer could play at Wv?...
Actually they did think he could play. But, I think they offered late, and his parents were insulted.
Did he commit? Yes or no?BTW, Brown's recruiting started when he was an 8th grader. Galloway was recruiting him.
What was the mockery... something about having extensions ready for middle schoolers?
Someone remind me... when did Brown commit? When did Dana have his extension?
Did he commit? Yes or no?
Your argument was that Lyons not extending Dana's mediocrity would kill our recruiting for years and years if he didn't do it early in 2016.
Well, you were wrong. Recruiting is going as well as it's going to under Holgs. Some ok years, some down years but never that dynamic year. He will butter his bread through development which fits.
You gonna eat some of your own bullshit next year GoldRusher. And, I'll be the one spoon feeding it to you.
Pretty thick bullshit right here.
You'll have to read the ESPN piece on reranking the 2013 class for the Big 12. Where did WVU finish?
You don't reap rewards in recruiting in this year's class with this year's 10 win season, or a recent contract extension. Those rewards won't be seen until the 2018 class. Relationships with this year's recruiting class started when these kids were sophomores and juniors in high school. By the time Dana received his extension... by the time WVU cemented its 10th win... most of these kids were already committed.
That's how the real world works for anyone who didn't know... looks like you are one who doesn't. Sorry...
Another commit this morning, currently sitting at #45.
One spot ahead of.....Ala freggin Bama.
Yea Shane, your killing us.....
