A good team is going home here, either way.

I like both teams a lot. They are similar, and if you could knock on either team, I'd say it's that they could use another 3 point threat to space the floor. I think Barry would play well for WLK in the starting lineup. Shane has a couple of outstanding shooters on the side in Mullin and KD, though I like Mullin more as a SF than a SG. The Mailman/Barkley matchup and Pierce/King matchup are outstanding. Shane has the ultimate tough matchup in Magic, but WLK has an outstanding guy in Kidd, certainly not Magic, but really good.
The biggest mismatch to me is a prime Kareem, and while Shane has a couple of strong defensive centers, neither could hold stop Kareem IMO. I think the Kareem matchup and a slightly stronger bench make the difference, over my favorite all time player in Magic in a super tough wildcard game

Was going to start Barry but as a Point Forward I decided if the offense when to half court Barry would run the show with scoring guards and versatile bigs...

I agree, Kareem swings it at the end... I got WLK in a 2 point win...

I had Shane ranked second behind me of course. I really like WLK's team but believe Shane has a better squad. I could have seen Wlk beating several other teams but got a bad draw in rd 1.

I ranked these teams 96 and 97 points in my rankings.

It's always tough voting against Magic but I really like the way WLK put his team together.

I hope all these games aren't this tough.

I gotta go with WLK in a close one...

I think this one is so close, but I think my athleticism pulls through. Kareem is unstoppable no matter what but you really think Kidd can matchup with Magic either. So close though.

Answer to part 2 is no, Kidd couldn't match up defensively. I think he could make Magic work on the defensive end, but Magic was the man. I think WLK was smart saying he would put Hondo on Magic, still couldn't stop him, but Hondo would do about as well as anyone..... outside Pippen lol

My team will push but should it slow for some possessions I feel my team has the edge vs both waves... Shane has a huge weakness in rebounds... Magic is second to Gilmore in that category... Of the top 10 in our match I probably have 6 or 7 and they are closer to the top of the list...

Huge weakness? Magic can grab boards from the point and Kidd can. Wade and Pierce are good rebounders. Malone and Ewing still really good rebounders. KD can grab them and so can Gilmore. I dont see a huge weakness

The hard thing with this matchup is he has guys whose careers are over. I have guys who are in their peaks or close or in Wade's case finishing up.
