I think Schneider been told to fix the OL by ownership. What worries me is I also think he's being pressured to fix the QB situation. John sold the idea that the team under performed under Pete, well now the team has to perform better then it did under Pete. Imagine if Pete ends up winning 10 games with the Raiders. This off season is another big one, jobs are on the line. GM, the entire coaching staff, some of the players. John needs to step up and get it done this off season or MrS will be the only happy camper.
I hope jobs are on the line. Heading into 2026 with Schneider still at the helm following another just-Missed-the-playoffs season will be complete and utter Demoralization.
Win the division or blow it up and start over.

If they play better and just miss the Playoffs i am fine with. Had the Hawks finished with a 11-6 record ( Beat Giants ) and still landed in 2nd place in the NFC West they would have missed the playoffs. Only reason i bring that up is because you can have a "More" successful season and still miss the playoffs.

I am 100% worried about the offense, i believe they take another step backwards in 2025 even with improved line play and running game. I predict Geno will get the nod again as the starter with a new contract that still pays him more than he is worth and he throws 15+ INT's again and MIGHT get to 20 TDs. I can see it now 70% completion percentage, 4300 yards but leads the league in Redzone turnovers and "boneheaded" plays. Geno just can't elevate.

sucks that we get a KC vs Philly Superbowl, I was looking forward to a Lions Vs Bills Superbowl. Also i am just tired of Watching KC get to the Superbowl with extremely Bias flags. Thankfully there were none really in the AFC Championship game or the internet would have EXPLODED! I myself have never seen a team gifted so many BS flags in my life as i have seen KC get the past 5 years on hits to Mahomes that were 100% legal. Half of them were flops by Hollywood Mahomes.

I bring up the flags but there is another QB that would also get WAY to many flags and is now looked at as the Goat. I dont feel like Tom Brady is the Best QB ever i just don't. Manning in ways was better, Brees in ways was better. Brady was very good yes but he also got a LOT of calls that like say Brees and others didnt get. These calls were common enough to help them win superbowls starting off with the tuck rule. I get it but there was zero intent and you could see there was no doubt he WASN'T throwing the ball. I am not going to soley blame the refs completely as i do believe there is a narrative but not enough to say it's script. Just a helping hand is all thats needed to flip games. Hawks first Superbowl apperence they were a little blatent though and had to "turn" it down LMAO!

also not just talking about "superbowls"

If they solidify the OL and the defense continues to improve that would work for me. The QB problem is likely going to have to wait another year for lack of good options, so that limits what I would expect in 2025.

the 4th and 1 that allen clearly made changed the game bigly. there were also a lot of missed penalties on the chiefs, i can recall two clear face masks they didnt call.

if those things happen then it should translate into at least a playoff appearance, right?

I don't think it was a clear at all that he reached the 1st down line. It was super close and the ruling on the field wins in those situations.

Honestly, if we had a competent LG and stability at RT we probably win 12 games this year.

You would think.
However if they cut Geno and go with a rookie (which I doubt JS or Macdonald want to do but the contract issue could force their hand) and say Howell that could change the win-loss record. Don't feel this is the draft to go that route, you want a good QB class if your taking a QB in the draft to be the future starter. Course it is possible they find a Purdy type in this draft but the odds are better in a good QB class to uncover a over looked gem at QB.

It was clear live and clear on replay. The ref who made the spot had no line of site to the ball and the ref who did had the spot passed the line to gain.
Regardless, its 2025 we should be able to use technology to give pinpoint locations of where the ball is in relation to the field. If we can catch a falling rocket surely we can find a football on a field.

They could definitely do it. Soccer has technology that can determine if the ball completely cross the goal line.

But not everyone would be happy about that.

I'm fairly indifferent to the Kubiak hiring. I'm not excited or disappointed by it.

The reality is that OCs are basically temp jobs. They rarely stick around for more than 4 seasons. In fact there isn't a SINGLE OC that has been on his team for more than 3 seasons.

Well, the sideline ref who could actually see the ball had it marked as a 1st down, while the ref on the other side of the field who couldn't see the ball as forward progress stopped marked it short.... and somehow the ref who couldn't see the ball won the argument. It looked like a wrong call to me. But.... surprise.... it went in favor of KC. Just like the chuck & pray that they ruled as a catch for Worthy. Sure looked like it hit the ground w/o control to me.

I'm also indifferent to the Kubiak hiring. I think success he has will be mostly determined by whether we're able to improve the interior OL. Maybe Kubiak has something to do with that, but he probably isn't the most influential factor there.

I thought he got it at first but when I saw the replay it looked to me like he didn't get it.

I don't have a dog in this hunt. But it seems to me that whenever a team consistently wins, they get accused of favoritism by the refs

One issue is the available cameras are NOT directly on the line to gain, they are off at an angle which is ridiculous. The college game is so more advanced with this stuff than the NFL they should be ashamed.
More sensors in the ball, more cameras in important spots and train AI to help make close calls more accurate and fair.
And id also like to see actual lines for scrimmage and to gain on the field using some kind of led diodes embedded in the turf. That would mean no more grass and I'm fine with that

First ref running in had the correct spot but somehow got overturned and gave the spot from the 2nd ref running in.
Replay shows Allen's body plus football past the down marker.

Yeah on that 4th and 1 the camera was a little infront of the line not down the line and the ball lined up with the first down marking meaning it was past the line to gain. One ref had it right on the line meaning 1st down the other ref was like going off Allens Back shoulder when the ball was in his other hand. It was close though but it was a first down.
