Now we all have to calm down and except nothing is proven yet. For all in intent and purpose this team is vastly improved. They will be competitive for damn sure.
We definitely need to temper our expectations. But this was one of the best off seasons I've witnessed. We need to remember every team improved. We'll maybe not Cleveland, lol. But from the looks of it, NE took a huge step forward in their rebuild process.

Agreed 100%, and we all talked about this being at least a two year process, I think it still is. We should be a lot better this year, we could even compete for the division. Buff is still the cream of the crop, but NE could easily finish second in the DIV and give Buff a run.

Can't wait to see what they new offense and defense looks like. I'm sure Josh will still scheme like he always has. Somewhat vanilla to get started as they find out what they have. Then open it up somewhat if the team is ready. I loved the McDaniels schemes. Ball control keep the other team off the field.

We all grew weary of the bend don't break defenses. Now with Vrabe's and the talent this D should be a lot more tenacious and fierce. They'll get after the QB and punish anyone coming across the middle. Two lock down corners they should be fun to watch.

I only care about 1 intent and 1 purpose. We'll start seeing in September. I'm not saying I can't tolerate another down year, just that winning free agency and winning the draft are just fun distractions. Validation is on the field.

They're already starting to mention that the 2026 NFL Draft will be April 23, 24, 25.

I'm already sick of Shedeur Sanders and the "Happy Dance" for being selected in the 5th Round. How about showing fifteen minutes of each of the 154 guys who were drafted before him? Other than his mother and father, who really gives a sh*t???

Patriots did not draft a TE. Maybe they can catch a sleeper and sign one as an UDFA

Caeden Prieskorn - MISS -
Prieskorn is currently projected as a Day 3 pick, meaning he's likely to be drafted in the 4th round or later. His value is seen as being in the later rounds, where teams are looking for players with potential and depth at the position. He has shown good blocking ability and has improved in that area over the past three years. He also possesses the ability to run intermediate routes downfield.
He has experience on special teams, specifically on kick return and field goal units. This can be a valuable asset for teams, as it provides them with a player who can contribute in multiple areas on the field. While he may not be an immediate starter, Prieskorn's experience and development could lead to a role where he can contribute as a reliable blocker and a valuable special teams player.

CJ Dippre ALA -
Dippre came to the Crimson Tide to prove he could play with the best. Dippre transferred from Maryland to Alabama after his sophomore season and put in two seasons of consistent play, showing his toughness, athleticism and versatility in college football's toughest conference.

Dippre made 65 receptions for 782 yards and three touchdowns across four college football seasons. The two-time Mackey Award watchlist member is an adequate blocker and solid pass-catcher, but doesn't do either at an outstanding level. However, his versatility and experience in high-level football make him a potential target for teams as a UDFA.

A
Dippre it is. I disagree with the writer, this kid can block. That is one big-ass TE!

UDFA Signings

Jack Conley is coming in with guaranteed money. He will not be getting UDFA minimum.
Somebody should have drafted him.

Elton Chism is a small school standout. Smart kid and team captain. The kid can play!

Ben Woolridge - meet the next Brock Purdy!

So with pick #95 NE selects Jared Wilson, C, Georgia. Glad to see NE building depth at OL but this kid was only a 1 year starter. PFF had him at #88 on their overall board. Sounds like a project player? Maybe he can sit and learn from Bradbury and Cole as the knock on him is experience and football IQ due to limited snaps. Not sure I love a development player with our last 3rd round pick. Especially if football IQ is an issue for a C.

Thoughts?
6'3" @ 310# and he ran a 4.84???

IMO, Vrabel and the staff knocked it out of the park.

Including the UDFAs, every hole was filled with a body.

I think a lot of 2024 guys will be moving on. The plan appears to be to add speed and athleticism.

Patriots selected Ohio State RB TreVeyon Henderson with the No. 38 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Henderson’s (5’10/203) selection is somewhat surprising for an offense that already has two highly-paid backs and desperately needs receiver help, but the new brain trust has seemed low on both Rhamondre Stevenson and Antonio Gibson. They also apparently expect Henderson to immediately contribute as a pass catcher. The No. 1 running back recruit of the 2021 class, Henderson quickly made good on the hype with a 183/1,248/15 rushing line as a true freshman. He also added 27 catches for 312 yards and four touchdowns. Henderson’s next two seasons would be marred by various minor injuries, limiting him to 18 games in total. Both his efficiency and his volume dipped and Henderson failed to hit four digits on the ground in either season. The Ohio State boosters then recruited Ole Miss running back Quinshon Judkins to be the thunder to Henderson’s lightning. Henderson rebounded with 1,016 yards and 10 scores on just 144 attempts. He averaged 7.1 yards per carry and added 284 yards through the air. Every touch Henderson gets has the chance to end in the end zone. He averaged 11 touches in Ohio State’s four postseason appearances and still scored four touchdowns from at least 20 yards out, two of which came from 60+. While Henderson’s 4.43 Forty disappointed some, it’s still plenty fast and he plays quicker than his tested time. Having already been pigeonholed as a committee back in college, Henderson will hold the same fate in the pros, at least as a rookie. To begin his career, Henderson profiles as a third-down weapon for an OC in Josh McDaniels who has always featured such a role out of his backfield.
His 40 time may not be lightning quick but if his top speed is 22 mph, he'll be dangerous.
