Onto day 3.

I like DE Sawyer from OSU with the next pick. Another pick from Vrabe's time there?

After that I'd like to see NE go S, WR, FB and K.

That would give me a chubby.

The only knock on this kid is his size. He's not a big back that's going to run thru player but he does block well, can catch out of the back field and does have break away speed.

I think probably biggest knock is actually injury. Missed time in 2 seasons because of foot problems. RB with foot problems is a huge risk. Great player though and maybe the best pass blocking RB in the entire draft.

Foot injuries are a concern bit they were in 2022 and 2023. He didn't have any issues last year.

My point was he has home run potential due to his speed. Clicked last year at 22mph during a game. In the NFL I'm afraid he'll not be quite as effective because he's now playing against NFL tackler's. I like big backs 220#. But I see him as a good change of pace back and 3rd down guy. Which also lessens the chances of injuries unlike a bell cow. Excited to see him in a Pats uni.

Patriots selected Georgia C Jared Wilson with the No. 95 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Wilson (6’3/310) paid his dues waiting for his chance to start for three years amidst a loaded Georgia offensive line group. He made the most of his chance to start last year, allowing zero sacks and just six total pressures over 475 pass reps for a solid 85th percentile pass block grade. A premium athlete, Wilson blew away the Combine with a 4.84s 40-yard dash (99th percentile), 4.56s shuttle (84th percentile) and a 32” vertical (94th percentile) for a fantastic 9.84 Relative Athletic Score. Possesses elite movement traits and a sharp get off which allows him to outposition his opponents when pulling in the run game. An Advanced pass protector who recorded a 90th percentile grade against true pass sets, Wilson is accurate with his punch and hand placement, but lacks the necessary bulk to stand up to fully formed Interior linemen at the NFL level. An athletic player who has just one year of starting experience, Wilson can be a multi-year starter if he can add functional weight.

Patriots selected Washington State WR Kyle Williams with the No. 69 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
It’s a nice addition for the barren New England offense. Williams will function as a big play target for Drake Maye, who operated with one of the league’s worst wideout rooms in 2024. Williams (5’11/190) only appeared in six games as a freshman at UNLV because of the COVID-19 pandemic, but he immediately looked like the best player on the field. He posted a 35/426/2 line as a true freshman. That was 21 more receptions and 280 yards more than the team’s second-leading pass-catcher. The Rebels’ passing attack never took off and Williams amassed just 1,142 yards and seven touchdowns across 19 injury-plagued games over the next two years. Williams then transferred to the pass-crazed offense of Washington State. He set career highs across the board with a 61/843/6 line in 2023 and then doubled down with 1,198 yards and 14 touchdowns on 70 grabs in 2024. Williams ran a 4.4 Forty at the combine and his speed is apparent on tape. He separated on intermediate and deep routes with ease. Only 16 percent of his career targets were contested and that number fell to 14 percent at Washington State. Williams looks the part of a future WR2 in the pros, though his undersized build could limit his ceiling as an outside receiver.

Patriots selected Ohio State RB TreVeyon Henderson with the No. 38 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Henderson’s (5’10/203) selection is somewhat surprising for an offense that already has two highly-paid backs and desperately needs receiver help, but the new brain trust has seemed low on both Rhamondre Stevenson and Antonio Gibson. They also apparently expect Henderson to immediately contribute as a pass catcher. The No. 1 running back recruit of the 2021 class, Henderson quickly made good on the hype with a 183/1,248/15 rushing line as a true freshman. He also added 27 catches for 312 yards and four touchdowns. Henderson’s next two seasons would be marred by various minor injuries, limiting him to 18 games in total. Both his efficiency and his volume dipped and Henderson failed to hit four digits on the ground in either season. The Ohio State boosters then recruited Ole Miss running back Quinshon Judkins to be the thunder to Henderson’s lightning. Henderson rebounded with 1,016 yards and 10 scores on just 144 attempts. He averaged 7.1 yards per carry and added 284 yards through the air. Every touch Henderson gets has the chance to end in the end zone. He averaged 11 touches in Ohio State’s four postseason appearances and still scored four touchdowns from at least 20 yards out, two of which came from 60+. While Henderson’s 4.43 Forty disappointed some, it’s still plenty fast and he plays quicker than his tested time. Having already been pigeonholed as a committee back in college, Henderson will hold the same fate in the pros, at least as a rookie. To begin his career, Henderson profiles as a third-down weapon for an OC in Josh McDaniels who has always featured such a role out of his backfield.

Patriots selected LSU OT Will Campbell with the No. 4 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
A five-star offensive lineman who was considered the number one player in the state of Louisiana according to 247Sports, Campbell (6’6/319) contributed immediately by earning Freshman All-American and Second-Team All-SEC in 2022. He would go on to log almost every meaningful snap at left tackle for LSU for his three years on campus, playing 800-plus snaps in each. The 2024 Consensus All-American allowed a near-perfect 0.3 percent blown run block rate and two sacks over the last two seasons. However, Campbell allowed 18 pressures with nine penalties last year, which is the second-most among 2025 NFL Draft tackles, knocking his PFF overall grade down to 71.7. Campbell’s Combine showing was all aces, running a 4.98s 40-yard dash with a 32-inch vertical jump to become only the fourth, 315+ pound offensive lineman in history to achieve a sub-5.00s 40 time and jump higher than 30 inches. His advanced movement skills make him hard to beat around the loop and he is strong enough to hold defenders at bay when he locks on. While Campbell resets his hands well and can drop anchor when pushed, his 32 ⅝-inch arms put him at a disadvantage in leverage battles where he can sometimes fall prey to inside moves. There is plenty of speculation that Campbell could kick inside and become a perennial Pro Bowl-caliber guard, but regardless of position he is a premium talent and should be an NFL fixture for the next several years.

Plus one very critical stat. Not a single mis-snap in the shotgun.

Training guys will work on the muscle and Verrone will coach the run game mechanics. He may be starting around Turkey Day.

My suggestions for the final 5 picks in no specific order.

2. Will Howard, QB Ohio State

Howard checks a lot of boxes: experience, size and a willingness to attack all coverages. He doesn't bring special arm talent, but he could develop into an NFL starter.

4. Tory Horton, WR Colorado State

There is a lot to like about Horton's game, including his nuance, pride in the little things, competitiveness and sure hands, if you can look past his athletic drawbacks (limited long speed and agility). He projects as a mid-round possession receiver with the chance of being a coaching favorite who sticks around for a long time.

1. Gunnar Helm, TE Texas

Helm has worked his way into becoming one of the class' best after-the-catch tight ends. He isn't the strongest run blocker, but he does have good feet in pass protection. Getting stronger would give him more opportunities as a TE2 with starting potential.

4. Logan Brown, OT Kansas

Brown looks and grades like the kind of offensive tackle worth taking a chance on. He has an ideal athletic build for the position with great height, weight and length, and flashes power on contact and fluid movement skills. However, his fundamentals remain a work in progress — he plays too high, lunges into blocks and can misread run fits. Still, those issues appear coachable, making him a developmental tackle with upside.

1. Miles Frazier, OG LSU

Frazier's athletic ability and versatility give him a solid chance to be a swingman in the NFL (88.0 blocking grade in 2024). His lack of length makes him a better fit at guard, but he'll need to get stronger to have a chance at a starting role.

5. Cam'Ron Jackson, DT Florida

Jackson's massive 6-foot-6 and 328-pound frame is designed to clog the A-gaps and free up linebackers to make tackles. He's earned at least a 76.0 run-defense grade across the past three seasons. Teams in search of a late-round run stopper should be interested in Jackson, even if he is likely to be just an early-down player.

2. Jared Ivey, Edge Mississippi

Ivey is a physically gifted player with devastating power in his hands to hold the point of attack and stack and shed consistently. He lacks the speed and lower body flexibility to be a speed threat as a 4-3 defensive end, so his best fit is likely more inside for a 3-4 front that would maximize his special strength every play.

3. Jeffrey Bassa, ILB Oregon

Bassa is an intriguing former safety who now has a home at the linebacker level. Despite his lower weight for the position, he is not shy about making contact or doing dirty work. He is a smooth mover but does lack some twitch, which can be mitigated with continued improvement in anticipation. A vocal leader at Oregon, he could be a nice coverage linebacker in any scheme.

2. R.J. Mickens, S Clemson

Mickens, the son of former New York Jet Ray Mickens, played a variety of secondary roles during his time at Clemson. This year, he was the veteran glue that held together a young group around him. In the process, he used his savvy and instincts to post an 89.8 coverage grade, tied for second-best among Power Four safeties. Mickens' smarts and pedigree should give him a chance to find a role on an NFL roster.

5. Zy Alexander, CB LSU

Alexander is a fundamentally sound cover cornerback whose limited athleticism will likely make him either a zone-specific cornerback or a potential safety convert due to how reliable he is when tackling and in run defense.

PICK A KICKER
  • Tyler Loop (Arizona):
Loop is known for his powerful leg, having hit a 62-yard field goal, and has the potential to be an even stronger kicker.

  • Andres Borregales (Miami):
Borregales has a strong family history in kicking, with his brother being an All-American. He's been consistent in his four years at Miami and has shown a reliable ability to make field goals.

  • Ryan Fitzgerald (Florida State):
Fitzgerald had a perfect 13-of-13 season on field goals, including five from 50+ yards, and is considered by some to be the best kicker in the draft, as highlighted by a video on YouTube.

  • Caden Davis (Ole Miss):
After limited playing time at Texas A&M, Davis transferred to Ole Miss and became a solid starter, showcasing his ability to make consistent field goals.

Pick a kicker? They all aren't being drafted, why not wait for UDF. If the team likes one better than the rest, then draft him. Otherwise, why waste a pick (unless all options are thought to be wasted).

We have a lot of picks.
We need a kicker.
There are a couple of good ones.
Why wait for a UDFA when you have competition for aquiring a kicker?
We have an average kicker, we could get a stud like we have had in our SB years.
We need a kicker (yes, I said that twice!)

QUESTION.....................................

At #146..................If he's still sitting in the Green Room...........

Would you take Shedeur Sanders???

ME? Absolutely not!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The crew following him and the influence of his father are keeping teams away.

After they take a kicker at #220, if he's still there, I'd tell him that I'd pick him, but he can't bring any baggage. One misstep and he'll be in the USFL for life.

Patriots selected Cal S Craig Woodson with the No. 106 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
A three-year starter in Cal’s 2-4-5 base, Woodson was a steadying presence in the Golden Bears’ secondary and finished his career with 215 tackles, 10 pass breakups, and 5 INTs. He lined up all over the field, showing versatility at nickel, boundary safety, and in the box. Woodson posted a strong 88.5 overall PFF grade in 2024, backed by an elite 83.1 tackling score and 88.0 in run defense. His 8.76 RAS confirms that his athletic profile—4.45 forty, 36” vert, 10’7” broad—translates. While he’s not flashy, Woodson plays with savvy processing speed, changes direction fluidly, and reads quarterback eyes with veteran discipline. He doesn’t possess elite range or take-on power in the box, but his consistency and instincts flash on tape. Add in 450 special teams snaps and a rep as an “A-plus person,” and you’ve got a ready-made contributor and core four special-teamer with dime safety upside.

I would take Sanders except, like Milton, he's going to want playing time.

Patriots did not draft a TE. Maybe they can catch a sleeper and sign one as an UDFA

Caeden Prieskorn - MISS -
Prieskorn is currently projected as a Day 3 pick, meaning he's likely to be drafted in the 4th round or later. His value is seen as being in the later rounds, where teams are looking for players with potential and depth at the position. He has shown good blocking ability and has improved in that area over the past three years. He also possesses the ability to run intermediate routes downfield.
He has experience on special teams, specifically on kick return and field goal units. This can be a valuable asset for teams, as it provides them with a player who can contribute in multiple areas on the field. While he may not be an immediate starter, Prieskorn's experience and development could lead to a role where he can contribute as a reliable blocker and a valuable special teams player.

CJ Dippre ALA -
Dippre came to the Crimson Tide to prove he could play with the best. Dippre transferred from Maryland to Alabama after his sophomore season and put in two seasons of consistent play, showing his toughness, athleticism and versatility in college football's toughest conference.

Dippre made 65 receptions for 782 yards and three touchdowns across four college football seasons. The two-time Mackey Award watchlist member is an adequate blocker and solid pass-catcher, but doesn't do either at an outstanding level. However, his versatility and experience in high-level football make him a potential target for teams as a UDFA.
